Gothic Lolita
![]() |
Gothic Lolita is a fashion by japanese teenagers to manifest their favourite Visual Rock stars. The clothing style tends to imitate the looks of Victorian porcelain dolls. It has been described as “French Maid meets Alice in Wonderland styleâ€. Japanese culture places a higher value upon extremely youthful appearance and cuteness is very popular among Japanese teenagers. However in Gothic Lolitas, it can be described more as creepy cute. During weekends women dressed up as Gothic Lolitas pose for tourist’s pictures. It is also another way to gain attraction from the public. |
In Japan it is mass-marketed and has wide visibility particularly in the streets of Tokyo and Osaka, on television as well as on manga. The fashion was influenced and popularise by Visual Rock bands such as X Japan. These are bands that wears elaborate costumes during their performance.

Goken Lolita style is usually a combination of black and white, often black with white lace and typically decorated with ribbons and lace trims. Skirts are knee length and may have a crinoline or petticoat to add volume. As in mainstream Japanese fashion, over-knee socks or stockings are extremely popular. |

He is entitle to his opinion…and so are you
August 21st, 2006 at 1:13 pm
Haha I don’t really understand how gothic lolita can be “really gay”, but the what really pisses the shit out of me is that it’s “mass marketed”.. So I’ve never been to Harajuku but it just seems like they’re wearing the same high-collared, knee-length skirts just because everybody else is, when some of them are too petite or have the right body frame to pull off a certain cut. It’s disgusting.

They look so cute. I could just hug them! and then… *shudder*
Just like alice 19th!

Well, I’ve been to Japan and back a thousand + times and yes, this is insanely mass marketed. EVERYONE does it because ‘it’s cool’. Lately, the trend has been severely fading in place with this whole Wear-your sweater-upside-down-and-a-tank-top-as-a-skirt trend. It’s scary… Most Harajuku residents of stylisting look like goofballs. Places like ometesando and shibuya are not nearly as scary and pull everything off with insane stylish flair. Guys are always wearing business suit like jackets over grungy stuff, which can be hot, but since I was bron in the era of Bump Of Chiken, I’m more into old school Kinki Kids than this crazy new stuff.
December 27th, 2006 at 6:57 am
well, it might be cute. But still, why can’t they use normal cloths, that can show style as well, and stop to dress up as going to a halloween party!

I think it’s an awesome expression of style. I mean, you never see anyone else dressing in lolita do you? NO. Today’s fashion has no orignality, and even if the style is commming from a different time period, it’s way more original than some of the stuff I see walking around my town. But, I do agree that it is insanely mass-marketed. People dress Goth Lolita because it looks cool, so it’s more of a fad then a style.
February 5th, 2007 at 3:40 pm
It’s not just a style, it’s also subculture. It’s just that not everyone sporting the clothes goes by the rules. Lolita girls (or boys) are to act politely and give off innocence. The look is meant for them to look young and innocent or ‘doll-like’ and they are to act the part as well.

Nicole,
What’s there to hate, honestly? How can you get angry about kids on the other side of the world having fun?
And jokes about atomic bombs are distinctly off-colour. Play nicely.
March 14th, 2007 at 8:15 am
Oh my fucking God,I can’t believe you made an Atomic Bomb joke,Nicole…You’re so fucking messed up…And I bet you’re one of those stupid kids who dresses “American Gothic” and you’re all sad and telling people you hate the world.Do you even know anything about WW2 and what went on? Because that was some horrible shit and you need to get a reality check. If you want to whine and be an asshole just do what you probably tell everyone you’re going to do and pull the trigger.Cunt.

March 25th, 2007 at 8:26 am
Umm… yeah, Nicole, just thought I would point out that the Lolita style itself isn’t goth and even gothic lolita is basically the same thing except they’re wearing black. Lolita is meant to represent cuteness and innocence whether it’s goth or not. I totally agree with Jen, you’ve definetely have some anger problems to work out and the atomic bomb joke was so not cool. Also, I totally adore the fashion so back off!

i can’t help but be lured with the Jap’s awesome creativity and eccentric sense of FUN. Coming from naga city, philippines, there’s not much buzz going on around here that actually resembles the gravity of GOTHICLOLITA fad or style (if yu want to call it) or dexterity (which i prefer calling it) these restless adventurous japanese kids. I often joke that i was once a harajuku girl in my previous life. eversince i was different, bullied and gotten all too morbid. but learning about that trend, i realize it’s not bad to be overly dressed, as long as it is a manifestation of individualism. hehehehe. my creative juice cannot be tolerated here. So i envy the scene they have up there.. I really want to go and live there someday. Keep the passion. this defines the subculture of this evolved goth. The point is, we dont dress gothlolita if we will only feel humiliated. so i guess these kids are really having the time of their life enjoying the attention. on d othr hand, we don’t come out offensive to these kids as if we live the HAPPY life if all we can wear is a pair of jeans and a shirt. now that’s sick. hehehe.. tnx. world peace evrybody..

Gothic is just a state of mind and fashion. It does NOT mean maturity, for if it did, you are a prime example of an oxymoron then.
I Think GOthic lolita is a wonderful Fashion trend that came out of a society that is struggleing between their traditional culture and new ideas. Light and dark, two contrasting ideas (perky dolls and darkness), they work well together and yes, it is goth. Just look at the style and listen to the music they are inspired by.
April 10th, 2007 at 7:23 am
i am a gothic lolita and so are my friends but im not in japan thats the sad part!
April 10th, 2007 at 10:25 pm
Im also a gothic lolita but the only one I know of in my boring City in the Uk.
Black and whtie is the classic lolita style not realy gothic loli and is inspired by the victorian era ^^ I love the style and love dressing up too. I have done before I even knew what it was called but it is kind of sad that over in japan alot of teens just do it because everyone else is ….Except if you dress loli here your most likely to be attacked by a gang of confused chavs ¬_¬

“French Maid meets Alice in Wonderland styleâ€
French maid? Alice in Wonderland?
Lolita is meant to be non-sexual like a ‘french maid’ and Alice in Wonderland would be more considered as cosplay. I hate when people say things like that, as a lolita myself, it gives off a wrong example. Lolita also has many other sub-categories not just gothic and some are more mature and others youthful.
People are complaining about not being able to dress lolita because their not asian, well guess what? neither am I! I live in the UK and I either use a shopping service or shop at Baby the Stars Shine bright or Metamorphose. If I’m being particularly cheap I’ll shop at Closet Child which ships over seas but the items are second hand.
Last note, I checked on gloomth and nothing there seems lolita in the slightest. They don’t even follow the basic shape.

OMFG LOL!!!! now, that’s immature. whoever said you have to be depressed to be goth, that’s EMO dear. when you go around acting depressed all the time you’re being immature, most real goths are happy most the time, we just love the fashion. if you haven’t realised by not, goth is another conformist fashion. and everyone conforms no matter how original they would like to beleive themselves to be.
so now why is it so bad that gothic lolita is a conformist fashion fad?
May 1st, 2007 at 4:45 am
as for Gloomth not having Loli styles.
their stuff changes EVERY WEEK. they just added a bunch of head pieces and fascinators that are absolutely lolita. a lot of their clothing leans more towards Vampire Loli or Visual Kei type clothing, as well as all the traditional gothic stuff.
theres more to being goth or lolita than looking EXACTLY as its described. then its just a culture with a bloody uniform, and wheres the creativity in that?!
so there.

I love the Japanese street fashions. You can find so many different names for them…visual kei, harajuku girls, gothic lolita, Victorian lolita. I just “discovered” the fashions and have fallen in love with the wild colors. Even though I am 51 I can appreciate the excitement that so many of them go for. From wild colors and patterns to the darker goth. I was searching for ideas for fashions for my dolls and found the lolita crazes and have been googling the fashion for a few weeks now and have a large file full of different ideas.
June 19th, 2007 at 3:14 am
Nicole, my dear, you are as ignorant as can be. the Japanese view “goth” differently than Americans. they are not the “American Goth” there are many different kinds. and how dare you decide whats goth or not? stupid girl. goth is all in your head. and apparently yours isnt screwed on very tightly.
and Charlotte you are a sad little person. you have aggrivated one of my severe pet peeves. DO NOT USE THE WORD “GAY” UNLESS YOU ARE REFERING TO A HOMOSEXUAL OR THE WORD HAPPY. that is so annoying. sorry i just couldnt let those comments go.
Gothic Lolita♥ is awesome, but i bet i can make that stuff too 0_o

I love Gothic Lolita. I’ve been addicted to Japanese Music and Japanese fashion…esp. Gothic Lolita fashion eversince I entered HS. Oh… Nicole, just because it’s Goth doesn’t mean that it SHOULD be American Goth…Gothic doesn’t point out to one meaning. XD. Gawd, I’m planning to go to Japan and watch concerts…and finally…sport a gothic lolita look XD
August 10th, 2007 at 10:34 am
I love Lolita and it’s Fashion designers. My favorite one is Mana. And by the way for all of you haters who think Lolita is just a style It’s not it is a way of life. P.S. Lolita isn’t only for girls it is also for guys to.
August 22nd, 2007 at 4:31 pm
For those who feel that Gothing and Lolita fashion is, ahem, “gay” and “stupid” take a look around. There are a lot of fashion trends and styles that are, in some people’s personal opinions….”stupid”. So what?! Don’t be bitter just because you didn’t think of it first and make a ton of money on it. If people want it, they get it. Don’t judge things without taking serious consideration on it’s origins. The term “Gothic” can be seen around the middle ages. The “Gothic” period was a time of romanticism, religion, and many other things before it became the “American Goth” Obviously, Japan has a different perspective. So don’t suddenly assimilate their views to yours. Many of you aren’t even true Goth, or Emo, or whatever you call yourself! Personally, that’s your preference, Kudos to you!
Oh and Nicole, that may be your personal opinion, but you are being so judgemental, and ignorant. Especially since society looks down on “American Goth” and their passions. Why do you hate a foreigner who doesn’t care what you think because they are living their life? Honestly, it’s the 21st century…..GROW THE FUCK UP!
In my opinion, Gothic Lolita, Loligoth, and the other styles is just that; I wouldn’t call any fashion trend a way of being, more like personal preference in style. They dress up on the weekends, or everyday… because they like to.
To contradict my opinion, you could say it reflects your personality, or some aspect. Think about how you dress. Do you dress for yourself or for your parents? Or for society, as it dictates? Just be who you want, who cares what others think? Personally, I LOVE this idea. I’ve grown up knowing I want to design clothing. I like current trends and sihouettes and I like fashion from different centuries. The Gothic and Lolita looks and all the counterparts are simply awesome for those who might feel the same way i do!
I don’t agree with it being mass-marketed. It’s not in the U.S really, just advertised as in other places. You can’t find in on every other street corner like Starbucks! LOL. I wish….
The clothing isn’t actually all the same. The T-shirt made by hundreds of designers but with a different logo is the same, in my opinion. From a freelance designers perspective many times, they are hand made. The fabric, and styles and layered pieces are slightly different, but that’s me, I know many wouldn’t agree. Also, although I haven’t done a ton of research, from what I see, all the designers are private. There is no American Apparel or Nike of the Gothic Lolita world, is there? And I wouldn’t say it’s all the same, if I did, I’d have to say everything every single American wears is the same, but that wouldn’t matter because Society says thats the norm.
As for guys styles….I think I saw something about the Gothic Dandy, with the fitted blazers with tails, much like the early 19th century (1800-1899 for those who didn’t understand that
) but with the same Gothic and Lolita influence. Sounds fun!
Personally, I wish it would develop in the United States. Come on, let’s set our own Amergoth Lolita look!!!!
August 23rd, 2007 at 2:51 pm
I retract my statement about it being a way of being. The true lolita is a way of being, from what I’m still learning about it, and there are more kinds of versions than i thought. Amazing! I still say do what you want, and be creative!
August 30th, 2007 at 10:52 pm
hey its cool I guess… at least they are inventing their own style instead of copying some american trend…
October 4th, 2007 at 1:20 am

November 10th, 2007 at 5:21 pm
To let all of you know, you DON’T have to be Asian to be a lolita.
Take the LiveJournal community “EGL”, for example. The majority of the girls on there are probably not Asian.
Lolita is a fashion (and a lifestyle for some), not a right by race.
If you like it, research it! There may even be some loli’s living near you.
A warning though: Research it before asking basic new questions on EGL. Read all you can and lurk for awhile. Definately get a feel of the attitude and style first.
November 15th, 2007 at 10:25 am
If I were younger and slimmer, I’d love to dress up like this. It’s beautiful yet hauntingly dark.

December 17th, 2007 at 2:03 am
I’m personally into the sweet loli style right now. (Even though I don’t have a dress yet) One thing you forgot to mention, which probably led to Nicole’s sudden and distasteful outburst, is that in the term “Gothic and Lolita” Gothic refers to the Victorian times, not the American Gothic most people are familiar with. Also, there are many different sub-cultures in the Gothic and Lolita category; Sweet Lolita, Wa lolita, Classic Lolita and Gory Lolita being just a few examples. It is also a way of life. A lolita should be elegant, classy, tasteful and sometimes cute. It all depends on the type of lolita. Of course, it can also just be worn as a fashion but many of the more intense lolita’s will stick to their way of life until the very end. I’ll probably just stick to the fashion element of the Lolita style, partly because I have to much energy to be classy and I’m much too clumsy to be elegant.

There is the link to the Metamorphose temps de fille English site, it’s has mostly sweet Lolita clothing but some nice gothic lolita.

WTF if with some you people saying you wish you were asian (its called EASTERN asian. I’m sure you talking about people who are Indian?) and Japanese. That comes off as creepy. otakus…
I do like the Gothic Lolita, Visual Kei fashion, but it is seriously MASS MARKETED. You see then all the time in Japan. You dont have to seek then out. Its not like here in the Western world, where you dont see a mass of Goths and punks. You have to seek then out.
TIP: Quit calling it American goth. In reality, the gothic subculture actually exists in other countries….
All things in Japan are done seemingly by the masses. And when someone not from Japan sees the fashion, they think its all unique. That is partly true.
January 18th, 2008 at 1:59 am
to Nicole:
Gothic is a term used for art, like structures and literature, gothic can also mean elegant
in North America, “Gothic” is a stereotype used to ridicule people who dress in all black, but that style is not at all “Gothic”. I think they are using incorrect terms to describe that style of dress…
in Europe, “Gothic” is used to describe the middle ages and cathedrals, but not used in a sense of depression or darkness but more to describe elegance and beauty, mostly used to describe poems written in the romantic era (it’s more widely known as romanticism nowadays)
in Japan, “Gothic” is a term used for Victorian and elegant fashion - the style “Gothic Lolita” mean to dress in Black and/or White Victorian style clothes to give the effect of looking like a doll - you will also hear the word “Sweet Loli” being used… but they’re not made of any kind of sugar, it’s just another word meaning “adorable” as it the same sense it is to be “Gothic”
so stop being emo and calling yourself gothic
and to dusk:
most of those girls make their own clothes - there isn’t enough good lolita stuff in the stores to “waste money”
to alex:
lol - uhh… what you see right now IS they guys stuff… it’s a drag queen world in harajuku, sometimes you can’t tell if some girls are really beautiful guys (google search Mana for example…. )
you people think lolita is mass-marketed, then what the hell do you call blue jeans??? COMMON PEOPLE!!! common sense here!!!
loitas are mostly composed of the japanese rock community - regardless of looking sweet an innocent
my best friend/ sister is total Lolita, sweet and gothic! - and i think it is adorable - she doesn’t always buy clothes either, she makes them as well, you can even buy a simple blouse at target or wall mart, sew on some lace trim, exand the sleeves and WAMO! you have a lolita blouse, it’ll cost you no more than 12 US bucks if you shop smart, and less than an hour to sew it all on….
i am casual Indie-lolita and proud of it
ps: lolita is slowly working it’s way into North America for those of you who are begging for it, you dont have to be any kind of nationality to be lolita! just surf the web and get some ideas
January 18th, 2008 at 2:02 am
pps: baby the stars shine bright is opening is San Fransisco, CA soon
January 22nd, 2008 at 3:33 am
Is it sad that Blythe’s comment makes me more angry than Nicole’s?
This is an article about GOTHIC Lolita, not Lolita. We have different backgrounds and cultures. Stfu and go back to the egl comm.
January 27th, 2008 at 2:42 am
cos Nicole is ugly and gets called dog shite, they’re good because when they walka round, they don’t get called shit for it, they’re proud of it and they’re fucking different, gothic is many different things not just the term we use it for and its a statement
February 17th, 2008 at 11:28 pm
I live in the Philippines, and I love the Victorian fashion. But there are kids here who just want to look cool and then they call themselves emo then punk then goth… They don’t even realize that those are very different things. And they don’t even LOOK gothic. I hate them.
… Oh, and I love dressing up as gothic lolita too. And people, you really don’t have to wish that you’re asian or japanese or whatever… You have to know that japanese girls actually want bigger eyes–like, really big, ’cause the wide-eyed look is cute and doll-like.
March 13th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
There are VARIOUS Lolita trends, Gothic Lolita, which is the darker way of dressing up Lolita ^-^ In black white clothing so on. I am myself a Loli&& a harajuku girl. =3 I’m half Japanese and such and it kinda makes me laugh how some people view this with such small views on this. That it’s “gay” or something >< which I have nothing agaisnt. It’s just something. We’ll have to deal with it though haaai. :3!!
March 29th, 2008 at 5:14 am
I’d love to know why you can wear whatever you want in Japan and no one gives a fuck when in the U.S. I can wear such things and I’ll get made fun of to the point of suicide!
I dress the gothic lolita style and I love it.
There’s no one I’ve seen with the same style in my school let alone my state!
THEY ALL ARE PREPPY OF “GHETTO”!!!
WHAT’S THIS WORLD COMING TO WITH ORIGINALITY!!!
I love my style

I adore GothLoli style, and always have from the moment I saw it, and I also love some Harajuku styles. People are silly for thinking you have to be Japanese or otherwise Asian to wear those styles–I’m not, and I don’t look it in the slightest, but I still wear Japan-inspired fashions. I also barely conform to the demure “Lolita” personality, and I have hot pink hair that couldn’t hope of pull off a sweet and demure look, so I also take some influences from American Goth and mix them in. I still think it’s ridiculous that people think they need to be Japanese to dress in this style if they like it–you don’t–nor do you need to be short (although I am), but I also don’t think people should automatically buy anything because it’s Lolita–look at the garment, and see if you think it will look good on you, and more importantly, that you’ll feel good in it and love wearing it. It may be somewhat mass-marketed in Japan, but here in the U.S. it’s still fairly original. And even if it wasn’t, who cares? Being different is impossible, and so is being normal, so people should stop trying so hard to be one of those things. Anyone who doesn’t like the style, you’re entitled to your opinion, but you don’t have to insult people who don’t have your opinion. =)

The Gothic subculture is very common in Europe; in fact it started in England as a darker version of New Romantics. Bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Bauhaus, and people like Bertie Marshall. And the Lolita look is no more mass marketed than Punk and Goth in America and Europe. Look at Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLarens Seditionaries boutique in the 70’s; I know from people who were there that at the time that was the Punk Uniform and a single t-shirt would cost a small fortune. The Lolita look is alot more visually pleasing then all this flared hot topic bondage trousers with chains crap.

I’m half-Japanese and dress in gosuloli. I used to live in Japan but right now I do not. We might move back eventually. Is it rare/weird that a 13 year old wears gosuloli?

Stop calling it “American Goth”. its WESTERN GOTH. You know, how like the gothic subculture is also in, gee I don’t know, EUROPE?? you people……
Justin, your right, western goth and Japanese fashion is mass-market. That isn’t really a big deal, unless someone is doing it “2 b lyke totally different” cause on a larger scale your not really. One thing is feeling you identify better w/ a subculture, and another things is trying to be different.

What makes me mad is all of you are saying how they got the goth part wrong when none of you know the first thing about it. It’s not goth like American goth with chains and spikes and listening to death metal (btw american goth is about intelligence and sophistication not being sad and scary). Gothic Lolita is just the opposite of Sweet Lolita. The closest thing to American goth in the Lolita world I would have to say is Ero Loli, and most Lolita’s don’t even consider Ero Loli part of the Lolita world.
So how about before you open your mouth and make a fool of yourself, you do a bit of research hm?

Sorry to post twice, but I agree with Blythe. You don’t have to be Asian to be Lolita. In fact most Asians, that I’ve met at least, envy me for having lighter skin than they do. For some reason the Japanese culture adores pale white skin.
June 8th, 2008 at 11:18 am
Aha sorry, another post.
But I’m slightly irritated with some of you saying you are or want to be Lolita, and you’re swearing like sailors! Lolita was created as a subculture, not a fashion statement. Lolita’s treasured all that is innocent and beautiful, and tried to maintain childlike or doll-like qualities. “The epitome of perfection, like a porcelain doll”.
It was never a popularity contest or about mocking gothic culture, even though it sounds to me some of you don’t know what ANY forms of goth REALLY are. Like I said before, “Western Goth” is about intelligence, individuality, being your own person away from the conformity of the rest of the world. Not who can wear the most black, talk about suicide the most, and scare the most people. Gothic Lolita isn’t mocking anything, so if you’re claiming to be goth, why don’t you learn something about what you’re complaining about BEFORE hand.

Gr sorry, to correct my FIRST post, I didn’t mean ALL of you are saying it, that was meant just to the ones who are ^___^’

I am starting to make Lolita accessories to help me pay for my college tuition. If anyone is interested check out my e-bay page. If you wanted something made in particular I might just be able to make it. Thanks.

@Nicole:
I know you said that about a year ago but you are one sad individual.
Goth is a stereotype applied to people who wear black and listen to rock music.
It’s not a way of life.
Tweens like you who say that to be goth, you have to be depressed and satanist are usually wannabes who dress that way to “be different”, even though every one of your equally dilussional little friends are wearing the exact same outfit.
Gothic Lolita is a beautiful fashion and, even though a lot of it is mass-marketed, they’re are many dedicated lolita’s who make all their own dresses (which costs a bloody fortune btw) and follow the ‘lolita-code’ - be polite, treat others as you wish to be treated, and so on.
The Gothic part of the name is taken from the time-period the fashion is influenced by.
Goth didn’t begin with the Cure and Marilyn Manson; Gothic Culture has been around for hundreds of years.
You clearly have no knowledge of history to say something as heartless and cruel as “drop an atomic bomb on them”.
For your petty and laughable opinions, i feel the majority of Japan would wish to nuke you too. Not all of America, just you. That should be interesting
I don’t follow lolita fashion, i prefer Decora myself since i’m not a big fan of dresses, but i do have a very big interest in all aspects of Japanese Culture having lived there for the first 7 years of my life so it’s rather insulting when uninformed cretins like yourself insult something you do not understand since, even though both my parents are Scottish, i still consider Japan part of my heritage since i grew up there.
“Goken Lolita style is usually a combination of black and white, often black with white lace and typically decorated with ribbons and lace trims. Skirts are knee length and may have a crinoline or petticoat to add volume. As in mainstream Japanese fashion, over-knee socks or stockings are extremely popular”
What happened to the mentions of Sweet Gothic Lolita which is cute, colourful and childish.
Or Punk Lolita?
Again, that phrase plays to the stereotype that Gothic Lolita follows UK/US goth fashion when it doesn’t.
(and for all you Americans; Gothic culture was founded in Europe so please stop referring to it as “US Goth”. It’s not. Us Brits were the first to don Punk Fashion and the Europeans were the first Goths. )

I don’t think Gothic Lolita fashion is all that great. That’s just my opinion though… Some people think it’s great and others think it’s “ok” and others still think it sucks. Whatever floats your boat I say. What annoys me is comments like “wow, It’s the greatest fashion EVER!!!” or “This is gay!” Don’t go to extremes people. That is just annoying.

I’m a gothic-loli from Australia. :3
I try to mix a bit of gore in now and then with the fake blood too.
I just thought I’d give some gilrs out there some inspiration~!
You don’t need other lolita’s with you to dress like one.
Nor do you need to be asian.
I know the trend started in japan but seriously, they would all kill to be pale, with big blue eyes like us.
Lolita clothing and accesorys in general can be bought no matter where you from, they might need a bit of tweeking but you can do it!
If you live in brisbane like me, in the CBD theres a small arcade dedicated to “asian” you can always find cute accesorys and plushies there.
As for the clothing and the shoes, underworld realm can be a huge help, if you want gory or gothic lolita
But you can find it anywhere just look~
Loli is love. Thats all I can say.

i m a loligoth n i like it!!!
July 21st, 2008 at 6:37 am
Oh my Nicole, that was the worst thing I have ever heard.
I dont think you should be throwing around stuff like that on the internet.
Oh, and by the way, I hate when people say “This fashion is gay”.
And when it doesnt even have to do with emotion or sexuality.
Its just stupid.
But I like Gothloli, I think its a great way for people to become interested
in Victorian clothing.
July 23rd, 2008 at 1:52 am
to number 24, Nicole. listen, there are many gothic styles. just like lolita styles, like wa loli, gothic loli, sweet loli, and many more, just like gothic. aisian-goth ( that has dragons, or kimono style tops along with bondage style pants or something along the lines of that) punk-goth. (also theres just punk) and many others like that. and thay put the claffification infront of the lolita so thay aren’t all classified and the “skimpy outfits” used as sex toys, or prostitution. so hun, next time you try to bash A) cultual styles, and B) personal perferances, try getting a little backround on it before. kay angel?
