Taishan Panda Photo Gallery

Taishan is a panda bear born at the Sithsonian National Zoological Park in Washinton on July 9, 2005. He was nicknamed Butterstick at first but the name Taishan was chosen eventually which means ‘Peaceful Mountain’. This cub is the most popular panda in the world with a live webcam that monitors him in the zoo. 10 more pics after the jump.

my husband and i fell in love with this name a year before our son was born even before we conceived. so my son came into the world in august 2006 and thats his name taishan. he even has a stuffed taishan
