The sharks were dying one by one in the aquarium. After four deaths they finally found out the culprit. Turns out to be a shark-eating invertebrate. Nature is truly intriguing. 1 video clip after the jump. |

omg thats so strange i would have never though a shark could be killed by anything other than humans
maybe the sharks have got compition for the top preatator after all.

That was beautiful! How did it actually kill the shark though? Did it crush it, suffocate it, bite it somehow? I can understand though why ancient explorers had such stories of man eatting corals “demons of the deep.”

Sharks are heavier than water and have to keep moving or they drown. When the Octopus grabbed the shark, it drowned…

this is the deadliest octopus found - the most venomous ever, has brown / blue rings on its body and tentacles. it uses its tentacles to sting and paralyse its prey by passing posion through the saliva (a neurotoxin) and bites its prey with its tough beak
towards the end if you watch the video, we see the cups of the tentacles being pressed into the sharks body…numbing it for a better meal.
