Amusing, but the accuracy of these “facts” is very questionable. For example, #25: Depending on who you ask, the original lion’s name was either “Slats” (his trainer’s name was Volney) or “Cairbre”. The latter story places the lion’s birth in Dublin Zoo, Ireland.
In all, there have been at least five lions who have been the MGM lion. Any MGM lion is referred to (unimaginatively enough) as “Leo”.

The Colgate note is only PARTLY accurate. “Hang yourself” would be “Cuelgate” or using the infinitive as imperative (sometimes done in Spanish), “Colgarte.” “Colgate” is an unfortunate amalgam of the two possible forms for giving such an order, but does NOT mean what you indicate it means. About the whole “colgate” thing:
It CAN mean “hang yourself” in the imperative (command) form in countries like Argentina and Uruguay where the stress of the verb is on the “a” and therefore the “o” does not dipthong to “ue”.
It would NOT mean “hang it” because there is no “it” indicated.

I think that its better to know which facts are true, and which aren’t, so thank you all for exploring the ‘facts’ further. However, I think that it is a waste of time to sit around and argue about this, as they were probably copy and pasted from some other ‘fact’ website. Most online ‘facts’ turn out to be bogus anyway, mainly because anyone can post them online. Also, cool as it would be to have a site full of true facts for us to sit and read, we’d probably get bored because of their credibility. no, this is false. it is due to the contracrtion of the fragile skin around facial areas which gives the illusion that hair is growing it is actually the root hairs being exposed and the nail i believe also work on the same principle

Google is not the name for a number with a million zeroes. You are confusing this with a Googol, which is 10 raised to the power of 100, which is a one followed by a hundred zeroes. Incidentall a question along these lines was the million pound question on UK TV’s “who wants to be a millionaire” show

I’m not going to complian about the validity of these facts because I’m sure that the compiler complied these ‘facts’ slightly toungue-in-cheek. I mean, I’m sure he/she didn’t believe that all of these facts were 100% accurate but rather posted them because they are interesting. I was certainly interested whether they’re true or not. I’m sure most of them are true and the ones that aren’t, well at least they were still interesting, and every fact list isn’t 100% right.
However, I must quetsion the point of #19 - Everytime you sneeze, brain cells die.
It’s my understanding that many of our brain cells die every minute to be replaced by new ones whether we sneeze or not.
