Taylor Hicks was voted the new American Idol on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 in Los Angeles. The 29 year old from Birmingham AL wooed viewers with his raw singing style and wild dance moves. Here’s a video of Taylor Hicks performing ‘Do I Make You Proud’.
