Bird Mimic

A video about how this bird mimic other sounds in order to attract females. At first it mimics the kookabara where even the original is fooled by its sound. The later part shows more incredible mimicking, where it can even imitate a camera shutter, a car alarm and even sounds of chainsaw of people working nearby! If there is a poll for amazing birds, this one gets my vote. 1 video clip after the jump. |

It looks so… unrealistic but I know a crow fools a cat by making dog sound…

lyrebirds are nature’s own sound recorder. I often wonder if they can mimic human voices if they hear the same person repeating the same sentence over a period of time.
