I actually looked up something for the chimp/ape-human hybrids for a school hybrid. Natural reproductive barriers would stop fertilization.

Man should not be messing with this. Do you ever see animals in the wild breeding like this? NO! God does not want you doing this to his animals. PLEASE SPREAD THIS MESSAGE! Thank you ery much.

disgusting! animals are not toys to be experimented. They were created not to combined with other animals, that is why they are different to each other. why not try yourself to have son from a gorilla so that you feel how gross is it!!

Ok, the dog and the wolf are of the same species: WRONG, THEY ARE THE SAME GENUS.
, so that’s strictly speaking not a hybrid, WRONG AGAIN! A HYBRID CAN BE MADE BY CROSSING DIFFERENTE GENUS OR DIFFERENT SPECIES OF THE SAME GENUS.
and it’s not very uncommon for them to breed at all.
Happens all the time in northern scandinavia, sweden, where I live. BECAUSE THEY HAVE GENETIC COMPATIBILITY
ASSHOLE, STUDY SOME GENETICS BEFORE POSTING STUPIDY.
THAKS,

Aside from this last sicko nicoli ( always a few ), man is still trying to validate a worn out theory on evolution of man.

The closest complete cross of any kind is the horse/donkey to mule and mules are sterile! End of story! Any crossbreed needs to be able to reproduce on it's own. Even then it's only a variation, not a new breed!

Dogs are still dogs!

And God is still laughing.

Yup, must be American, watched a documentary on wild cats, even these unnatural, man made beasts were being let go into the wilds of America. Tigers, lions, ligers, tions... whatever and What the F#%k? Seriously, why get these cats if you can't handle them, just like why make these cats if there's no specific used for them? When man plays god, bad things happen and it will all fall back onto the creators of these freaks!! Mankind is such a sad race that these people cannot really see and enjoy the beauty of nature, there's no need and I really can't see the point of creating these so called hybrids.. Stupid..

I don't know about this hybrid stuff. I think it is sad. They say do not toy with mother nature because you don't know what will happen. All the horror movies or at least some of them dealt with this issue and the result wasn't good. Maybe this money should be spent helping to save the different species the way mother nature had them. I don't know because I am not sure I like what I am seeing.

Hold the presses. I just saw in a field in central Belgium what I thought were cows. Upon closer inspection it looked they they were a cross between a cow (50%), a pig (30%), a sheep (12%) and a reindeer (8%). Could it be that maybe some experimentation happened long ago and these animals are decendents? I'll tell you this: these animals are not what you would call a cow; they exhibit pig behaviour, too.

That's horrible...people need to basically force them to breed, and most hybrids don't live long, die , and are only used to get money. Those idiots.

Also, to
Mikael Bergkvist :

Domesticated dogs are not the same species as wolves. Wolves are Canis lupus ( Gray wolf ) or Canis rufus ( Red wolf) , whle domesticated dogs are Canis familiaris.

Tigons as some of you think are not dwarfs in anyway they average around 400lbs about the same as their parents, 30 seconds of research can prove it.

Wolf and dogs are 2 different species, by an alternative definition of the word.
A species is most commonly defined as an animal that can be born and will reproduce with other individuals. Wolves and dogs wont commonly reproduce because they're too different when it comes to behaviour. A dog wont interact with wolves during normal circumstances, it's not impossible however. It is believed that the dog evolved from a sub species of wolf, but is not a wolf for the time. This is referred to as a phylogenetic species. There has been done tests and the conclusion is that you can't tame a wolf. A captive wolf will become aggressive and may attack and try to escape as it grows even if it is kept with other puppies and treated the same way.

Also some claim there are no difference in the genes of a dog and a wolf, this is false. There's more difference in the genetic code of wolf and a dog than there is between a human and a chimpanzee.

Also those who asked about a chimpanzee human hybrid. This is difficult mainly because there's ethical problems when it comes to research involving humans. Because of the difference in size it would have to be carried out by a human since the chimp wouldn't be big enough to carry a human like fetus. Also it would be sterile since we have less chromosomes.

Why do we always find new ways to f*#c with nature. Do we not have other things to figure out instead of just the randomization of genetics.
