people need to just get a life and stop trolling, so what if i want to put a costume on my dog? it’s not like the dog is being harmed, now if i left my dog in a car for 4 hours in the hot sun, that would be cruel. if the dog seriously didn’t want to be in the costume they have pretty obvious ways of showing it.

I have a 3 yrs. old Min-pin and he LOVES to dress up. Besides wearing sweaters and coats during the winter time, he likes to dress up for Halloween as well. Granted not a lot of people see him wear it since we don’t really have kids in the neighborhood, I just share it to my family overseas and my friends through Facebook and they just adore him. He loves the attention he gets and he will stand in front of the camera and not move so you can take a nice picture of him. He literally smiles for the camera. I think dressing up your pet is not animal cruelty at all. If you care enough to have thought of dressing up the pet and buying it, doesn’t that show that you care and love your pet? It’s like treating the pet like he’s/she’s part of the family! People that say it’s animal cruelty is just so close-minded.

if the dog doesn’t care, then you can do it. if they clearly don’t like it, leave them alone. its really simple.

To put a coat on my dog means a treat. In winter here its -20 celcius. Its a camo hoodie.
Same as a costume and 100% contrary to cruelty. If you think the contrary, your prerogative.

i do think that its not fair for the dogs but if they like then dress them .some dogs do like being dressed up. my dogs dont like it so i dont do it to them.

So I guess some of you idiots would also say its cruel to put my frenchies little life vest on when going out on the boat so he doesn’t get killed is cruel too huh? Some of you need to chill out it’s not like the dog has a reputation to keep up that you keep saying they’re humiliated haha. Some people just need to calm down and stop being so dramatic, talk about being a cry for attention.

Please people, cruelty, really? We don’t call it child abuse when you dress your children up for halloween. Sure when they get older they get excited about costumes, but what about when they are babies and have no choice- but yet you think its SO ADORABLE!! You take pictures, you show them off to your friends, you may even get a good chuckle. Now ask yourself why you do it….for fun? for a laugh? to get in the spirit of the holiday? for love?

People are just getting into the spirit of the holiday with their pets as well. People also put sweaters and outfits on their dogs on a regular basis, but you aren’t so quick to call this cruelty. so why does it become ‘wrong’ when the outfit being worn is a costume?

ANIMAL CRUELTY?! Geez, this is NOT animal cruelty. These are people who LOVE their animals and want to have fun with them. Animal cruelty is MICHAEL VICK. Go pick on someone else.

C’mon guys. Choose your battles wisely. Dogs aren’t plagued with vanity. Dogs aren’t “embarrassed” or humiliated when they are dressed up. An own who chooses to dress up his pet isn’t inflicting any psychological pain on the animal..If anything, the dog is probably gaining some VERY welcome extra attention. Humans and clothing did not pop up on earth on the same day, we were not created to wear clothes. So, why is it so cruel to dress an animal, and essentially required for a human being?

any one who says that dressing up pets are cruel are ignorant. first off you are putting clothing on a animal not beating it or anything else in the matter of HURTING the animal! if a animal doesnt like something usually they do soemthing about it and i highly doubt that if an owner went out and spent the money and time for a costume for their pet, that they would make there pet suffer . usually the pet owners who go out and take their pets to events and dress them up are more likely to care for their animals and spend time with them.. think about dummy.so for all you who say that is costumes are cruel need to read the damn dictionary and look up the definition of cruel/cruelty.
