Should consinder… Even having tonns of problem for the commonwealth games 2010 facilities – the sport complex: the hostels are not completed within time, incident of a collapse bridge near the sports complex entrance, monkeys everywhere!! It is a huge shame for India being a host! rather India should spend thier money to overcome the people problems, especially on sanitation, welfare, slumps. I dont have confidence of India having skycrappers for the moment. It might be creating more problems to India’s economic growth – deficit, debts for multibillion skyscrapper.. The socio-economic demographic of India is different than other countries in East Asia, South East Asia & Middle-East. It takes uttermost long time for India to reach as a modern development country. But who knows India will be well develop in future =)

Should India needs to have the tallest building? I don’t think it’s a bad idea but what we need first is changing our life style – a clean neat, tidy streets and towns especially in the north, south is not much different.
Our politicians, most of them are like Kamaldi – I mean the Commonwealth Games chief. Once they become an MP they do not sleep in government quarters, they need five star hotels otherwise they won’t get sleep and they won’t allow anybody to sleep, doing all types of “horse trading”. What a wonderfull country? Most of the people willing to surrender themselves to the Europeans if they get “something” from them. Our politicians and business people and the so called elites cheats the country and submit billions to the foreigners. Now the present Government is under the tune of US. People should start to think of SELF ESTEEM and PATRIOTISM or else what’s the use of a huge building- it is something like a monkey with tie and hat. I feel more to write but ……..

hey everybody im kanishk i’ve read all the comments and im frustrated, i went to dubai a few months ago with my uncle to see the burj khalifa n i can’t stop myself from saying that its awesome the height is incredible i saw the dubai from the top floor n it was incredible that scene i could never ever forget about that belive me before that i’ve never seen this kind of a view, i was totally blown away by that view.

when i came india back then i realised omg! there is not even a single skyscraper in india

bt it is also a fact tht india is poor in utilizing the resouces in the best way and reqd time.the above structure cld hv been the wrld’s tallest if built after the petronas tower in 1997.The project has been proposed in 1998 & till nw it is a ?. wrld’s longest airport terminal in bejing got completed within 4 yrs,here i m nt comparinng bt tryng 2 say tht its tym to modify ur constructn skills whr our political system is again responsible….so here i wld request our leaders to be for the country “ab toh jag jaow”.Whtevr if nt the vedic town there wll dfntly be smethng grt & famous in the future of indian infrastructure.”JAI HIND”

Lets pause and ponder-India was a super power many thousand years ago. It was destroyed by infighting and foreign ivasions such as muslims and british. These indvaders destroyed lot of indian infrastructures and tried to destroy its cultures. Thank god after independence its now taking off. I don’t understand what the fuss is all about. good to know that india is going to be the home of the tallests building inthe world very soon ofcourse it great and goodness but what is it if it come in a unknow and a place nkow body like to visit jabalpur
why not? in major metropolitian cities like bombay delhi kolkata chennai and hyderabad.it should be definately in one of this five cities not in remote area like jabalpur .moreever if the building is common or useful for the whole society[world] then only people like to come have their time spend there but if is going to the onlr indian region building that what about other religion people india is free country worshiped by all god theier own choice so any monument built by govrnment or by any public entrprenar should always consider the whole nation. so i strongly suggest to build the tallest building in the world in india to be use ful for the whole nation may be abusiness or a mamoth shoping mallthat also in the well developed and good transport facility available place.because it must be also a massive tourist attractive place.

it’s gonna be 1,228 metres tall I think.

Some cranky ignorant guys from Kochi has been blurting out nonsense fact about Lulu shopping mall being the largest mall in south asia. This is utter bull shit!

The largest mall in India & south Asia will be Mall of India tht covers an area of 4.5 million sqft. It is being completed at the Delhi- Gurgaon border.
Remember Lulu is only 2 million sq ft.

Lulu will not be the biggest in Kerala as well. Trivandrum plaza with 2.2 million sq ft set to complete by 2012 will d biggest mall in Kerala.

And…the biggest mall in Asia is Mall of Asia in Pasay, Philipines.
Some kochi guys behave like frogs in the well.

Trivandrum with regard to the growth of Technopark which is largest IT park in d country, and the proposed 700acre technocity has become the most happening city in terms of Infrastructure development. 2 buildings of 36 floors of Heera & Nukunjam is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2010. TVM has the max no. Of buildings of more than 20 storied in the state- 30 nos. International plaza centre is coming up with a giant project Trivandrum plaza with more than 2 million sqft at Akulam tht wil be completed early 2012.

People llike arun judge cities like Trivandrum on the basis of highly biased electronic & print medias led by Manorama which conveniently hides the development in Trivandrum.
