Albino Squirrel Dilemma

Albino squrrels do not live long due to their bright colour which are easily spotted by predators. They have pink eyes and the albinism is caused by a melanin deficiency. This great photo was taken by Donita Clausen who was in the right place when the albino squirrel was playing with a fox squirrel in the Coldwell’s yard. A small town named Exeter, in Ontario, Canada, boasts that it is “Home of the white squirrel”
Ive seen one of them, apparently there are several.

Also there is a town in Olney Illinois that claims to be home of the white squirrels they also have a white squirrel habitat here. Like the park ther eis loaded with them, growing up I didn’t know white ones where special. Like I’m talking they have thousands of them.
