This amazing photo was taken in Sedalia Missouri on March 12th 2006 where over 113 tornados were reported. 10 people were left dead and more than 100 injured and destroying and damaging over 1000 homes.

      Although you site Snopes as the source of the picture of a tornado and lightning bolt supposedly taken in Sedalia, Mo. Snopes actually states the photo was taken in Florida over Lake Okochobbee in 1991. (it’s a bit confusing. They list the claim and then disclaim it in the next paragrapjh.) There is a picture of a tornado taken in Sedalia in March 2006 but not this one with the lightning bolt..

      This same photo is now being circulated in The Villages, Florida as have been taken during the recent tornado in The Villages.

      This photo just recently won an award in Perryville, Missouri that was posted in the Republic Monitor there by a man who took it in Chester, IL. It’s claimed to be of the tornado that crossed over the Mississippi River from Missouri into Chester, IL close to the bridge there.

      This photo is from ’91 and was taken in Florida. I’ve known the photographer for 15 years.

      yeah. i used to play in a band (2003-2004)
      on our website, each had a member page and i had this photo on it for a while. (i like lightning and tornados)
