Wow. If only there was some clue as to the designer and show. . . .

      (hint hint)

I don’t have the source link since this came from a forward mail, Alicia :( If I knew I could have added in the description and try to score the keyword in search engines. If anyone knows, do tell us.

Looks like it might have taken place somewhere in Russia.

If this is supposed to be weird, then whoever started sending this around really hasn’t looked at runway fashion. It’s a designer’s job to BE daring.
In their 2006 fall collections, Viktor & Rolf had all their models wear fishnet masks that resembled something like umpire masks. Alexander McQueen designed these elaborate hairpieces, most of them hindering the models’ vision through the forms of blinders, model airplane looking things, or a veil thrown over an enormous pair of antlers. Not to mention that some of his other collections include futuristic, cybergothic, odd-looking pieces that throw this entire collection into the trashcan.

And if it’s so weird to scraps of cloth wrapped around a woman’s face, maybe you haven’t taken into consideration that is what women in the Middle East wear.

Whoever started passing this around as “weird”.. well I don’t know how to describe that as anything but unsophisticated or naive, or just plainly shallow.

The outfits look like they were inspired by Zdzislaw Beksinki. Especially the first 8 or so.

Im not going to say that this is weird but it is rather odd. i dont really understand why they all have masks on…. ok call me out of date or “unsophisticated” (emilie) or whatever but beauty is something we should grasp on to and never let go not something that should be covered up and hidden.

      AlenaAkhmadullina is designer’s name.

wow very unique, as i would say.

      someone Says:

I thought one of the reasons for the masks was to divert people attention to the clothing rather than having people look at the models’ faces. Maybe one day there won’t be any human supermodels - just a coat hanger on tracks.

The first pic (and the other with the same style), are genious creations from the Paris based label Undercover. Very underground and intelligent. Beautiful work…
Sorry for the ones that can´t understand.

      natalieq Says:

what, no Vivienne Westwood? honestly the last few are pretty tame, its just the masks that are a bit different.

      milander Says:

yeah right… I can’t ever imagine anyone wearing one of these ‘creations’ to go shopping in… fashion is just like oscar night for films, a big love-in for people with more money than brains, a self congratulatory feast of obscure, nonsensical style. Who wears this crap? who buys it? oh yeah, I remember Paris Hilton wannabes and footballers WAGS !

    17. 17
      Bonnie Says:

This isn’t exactly weird fashion. The clothes aren’t “weird,” only the masks.

    18. 18
      melissa Says:

seriously the clothes are nothing all that surprising
i think the masks might have been put in to inspire big long blog discussion such as this one
that or the designer wanted the audience to watch the clothes not the model’s faces
i could wear any of those outfits and no one would think it was weird
but if i had a mask on maybe another story lol

      jme Says:

i dont think that theres anything weird about some of these other than the masks..?

      hailey Says:

so…what show is this from? someone above said the designer was Alena Akhmadullina. true?
i reallllllly adore these outfits and id reallllly like to know who they are by and what show they are.
      :]

      Giovanni Versace Says:

These are snaps from the newest revolutionary edge line presented by one of the most influential and innovative upcoming designers of our time. The modern design is meant to evoke much fear and confusion among observers. Our vision is to produce custom made masks for each individual to display the inner emotion and to provide a glimpse into the demons hidden within our very core. We envision a world where tremendously demented figures would walk around in disarray due to the severe restrictions in the fashionista’s field of vision, while talking amongst each other in a muffled tone. Our goal is to redirect the very idea of beauty from the face, to a concept of one’s true being. Most appropriately, we call this stylish, yet exceedingly functional fashion line, “The z0mb0″. There are many varieties and models to choose from, each customed to ones preference. The only rule is, there are no rules, only a designer on hallucinogens.
If you have enjoyed our provocative and rebellious style, I’m sorry to say that you are truly the modern tard. Please follow the link for more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_retardation
