Kiwi – Touching Short Animation

A simple but yet meaningful animation bout a kiwi bird that went to great troubles to do something that it could never had done in its life. Not trying to spoil the ending, its one of those that makes you ponder about how tough life really is for some people and the measures that they will take to make it better. 1 videoclip after the jump. |

So what happened in the end?? It did all of that to be able to sprout wings and fly?
Aw, it seemed so sweet and sad……….but just a tad confusing for me, maybe it’s cause I’m slow at these things…

For anyone who is confused regarding the ending…
The kiwi took painstaking amounts of time to nail (!?) trees to the side of the cliff, and then leapt off. As he was falling straight down, with the vertical tress, it looked like he was flying–something, obviously, the flightless kiwi would love to accomplish.
But, since he was flightless, his few seconds of absolute happiness cost him his life. It is sort of sad, but when you look at the underlying message, it’s more than just a cute cartoon about a kiwi. I love it.

Thank you for explaining. I thought he got shot at the end and knew it would happen. I thought those were tears in his eyes. I didn’t realize he hit bottom – but I guess he new that was coming too huh?. He was very cute though. Very sweet.

Lots of futur for the person who did this.
As for those who require an explanation of the video, do try to look at it a few times before succumbing to the temptation of having someone explaining it to you. It’ll make you feel better if you figure it out y’sef.

i think it was a very cute little kiwi bird with a very good animation and great hopesand desires but a very well known faitful ending i liked it and it was sad
