Animals In The Womb

A peek into the womb of animals to reveal how they actually develop has been possible using a combination of three dimensional ultrasound scans. An elephant, dolphin and a dog was recorded using scanners and cameras was inserted into their wombs.

The gestation period of the elephant took 2 years which is the longest gestation period of all mammals. 3 more pics after the jump.
