First i would like to thank this site for featuring this carving. When they started this project it was quite controversal. because it was to be built in the black hills. an area that my people regard as sacred land. to carve it would be considered sacralige. However, the carver and his assistant's are putting a lot of time into this. This to me, shows their effort and devotion to the project. kudos to them.
