City Lights On Earth From Space
A beautiful high resolution photograph from NASA of the Earth’s city lights. The brightest areas of the Earth are the most urbanized but not necessarily the most populated. This can be seen when comparing China and India with western Europe. You can find the high resolution 2400 x 1200 jpeg from NASA here.

Light pollution, that’s absolutely gross. Not at all fantastic to me. The earth isn’t supposed to be lit up at night.

what is it CALLED when you see lights from space? i know theres a technical word for it… i thought it was Archipelago, but thats a string of islands.. if anyone knows, reply to my email with a subject relating to my question. thank you. dancingwiththerain@yahoo.com
