When it comes to cars inchine you can pop the hood and see that the parts come from toyota mitsubishi honda subaru etc etc etc for example the daewoo matiz and the chery QQ the share the same parts because daewoo markets it under the chery brand and so do the others, chevrolet markets its daewoo line under chevy logo in southamerica, look at the daewoo matiz the chery qq and the chevrolet spark there all the same just different prices and logos, I have personally driven all 3 and the only difference I noticed was in the quality of the interior the plastis on the QQ seemed inferior.

I thought chinese peeps only can copy electrical equipments, cheap toys and can make low quality replicas of cell phones n stuff like that. I had no clue that they are into copying designs of cars as well. No way anyone can compare chinese built quality with cars made by Japan, Germany or even Korea/Malaysia for that matter.

Nice copy/paste function…
How much petrol does it need? And what about the quality and luxury inside?
And safety?
Forget it…

Looks like the Chinese are no longer content with copying the small fry i.e music cds, dvds, electronics, automobile parts, etc. There’re obviously raising their game to the next level. When will they learn to be original? When will they learn that you can never get ahead of the competition by waiting to steal ideas after they are brought to the market? What a shame!

the reason is that most of the manufacturers have plants here in the development zones because of the economy of producing goods in china. the Chinese Gov’t aquire the blueprints as part of the deal allowing the manufacturers to do business here. Then the Chinese produce the replicas at a fraction of the cost and using cheap chinese components and steel to sell to their internal market. They do the same with almost everything from tractors, motorbikes and clothes to electrical goods. You can buy copies of almost ANYTHING you can think of here in China. Some of them are o.k but most are shoddy, cheap and substandard.
