Rare Coelacanth Caught By Indonesian Fishermen

Coelacanth

In waters off Sulawesi island, Indonesian fishermen have caught a rare coelacanth, which was among the world’s oldest fish species. They were though to have died off around the time dinosaurs got extinct until one of them were caught in South Africa in 1938. The fish is referred as a living fossil by scientists.
