These are all pretty bad work that any well funded magazine would frown upon. Color /contrast is a normal adjustment. Images often look too dark or just flat when you're viewing an unadjusted raw file or scan. Those kind of adjustments are necessary especially so that it won't print looking even more dull on cheap magazine stock. The other adjustments are just bad examples. On most of these they destroyed all shape in the face on the altered versions. No shape to the lower eyelids or cheeks/jaw. Orange and green casts in blonde hair. These are simply bad.
