Knutt The Baby Polar Bear
|
Knut the little polar bear who achieved celebrity status worldwide was born at the Berlin Zoo but was abandoned by his mother. He had a brother born at the same time but the brother did not survive. Knut was taken in and bottle fed by zoo keepers. |
Animal rights activists had been saying that Knut should be put down because he should not suffer the fate of being brought up by humans. Cute little fella with 20 more pics after the jump.

Knutt looks content and should be left alone and let him bond with humans, we are a nice species.

Baby bear
————–
Down in the city zoo,
-they’ve just said it on the radio-
after the long wait,
the anxiety, the expectation
(did you hear about it?)
this morning
little baby bear Knut
was born,
weighing in at 28.243 kilos,
and is now being bottle-fed.
And all around the ring road,
strangling,
stifling the city,
clockwise,
anticlockwise,
in the slow snakes of traffic,
the families, pet dogs, hatchbacks
you can hear them
crying out
in unison:
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!

That polar bear doesn’t deserve being put down. animals with and without parents should have the same rights to live!

dont put the polar bear down. its like putting a human down just because the mom isnt there to help it grow up.if you put the polar bear down i might even take you to court even though its not neccesary. animals are like humans they deserve to live unless they do something horrible ,but i dont think the polar bear did anything

knutt is now being ‘abandoned’ by the introduction of flocke … its so stupid of us humans rather see the cuteness than watch the developement of a polar bear!
should we put flocke down or keep knutt alive????
knutt was abandoned by his mother and the brother didnt survived, flocke is a money making machine.

Putting Knutt down would be cruel! I mean would you like to be put down just because your mom isn’t there to help you grow up? It is 100% not Knutt’s fault his mother abandoned him. Maybe this is a time to experiment what a polor bear can develop when it is being raised by humans. He has no other family then what he has at the zoo! We are already drouning and kiling many polor bears as we speak. This way we can experiment with out ruining the natural order of everything. It’s better than taking a different polor bear out of the wilderness and experimentinng on it. Now I’m not saying experimenting on him is the brightest idea but this would embrace and resolve questions in science. We humans have the biggets population. We shoudn’t kill other things so were the domenent species. Knut shouldn’t suffre from his mothers mastake. If we insist on having that happen then happen we’ll be ruining the devlopment of this polor bear and it’s last family member so it’s race, we wil be ruinning it’s family race. - Klara 10

Elliott, I have no idea of your age but I hope you are young enough to explain toAnimal Rights ACTIVISTS, that it is our job to protect all living creatures. If the bear had been born in the wild, they would not say a word about it dying of starvation, once his mother had abandoned him. But since he was born in captivity as probably his mother, they think they have the right to determines who or what lives or dies! So all that are willing to stand up to these so called activists, act responsibly not stupidly. I hope that Knut grows up to be the most magnificent bear of his species. I hope he will also carry on his species for generations to come. Their home is disappearing. we need to help the bears not destroy them. I will step down from my soapbox now. Thank you.

I agree with Elliott. Humans are considered more blessed than other species. So, Humans should be more considerate to other beings. Knutt deserves to be showered all the love and affection that can be passed. Putting him down is cruel and unbecoming of human beings.
