Inversion – House Tunnel Art

This extraordinary structure on Montrose Boulevard took motorists by surprise. A pair of artists, Dan Havel and Dean Ruck was responsible for this house installation. The two wooden buildings were to be replaced by a new built project so the few months before the demolition, they made this into an architectonic installation. These photos were taken by Kevin O Mara and you can check them out at Flickr.

[...] Isn’t it great how creativity kicks in when times running out. Take for example this incredible and beautiful installation by artists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck a few months before this house was to be demolished…. I’m guessing they saw any opportunity to do something freaking crazy cool to a space that was going to be destroyed and turned this old house into a trippy wooden warp zone! Yes, actually, this piece was in MY neighborhood…Right down the street,. It has since been torn down; believe the artists were commissioned to do this to create hype for the new urban art space / coffee house that went up in its place. It was really cool!!! Too bad our hipster neighborhood is losing the battle to the upscale coffee houses….We are now surrounded by extravagant townhomes that the people who love to life here can’t afford (nor would want!) and the days of weekend long art festivals along the main drag are a thing of the past. Sigh…

With many different dollhouse companies offering beautiful dollhouse designs, it is easy to let a visual interpretation of a dollhouse kit make your mind up for you. There are a couple of things however that you should be aware of when choosing a dollhouse kit.

Those were some pretty cool shots. Do you think they were photoshopped?! People can do anything these days with graphics programs!! Anyway, fun to look at anyway.
Cheers.
