New 7 Wonders Of The World

The New Seven Wonders of the World is a proposed alternative to the Seven Wonders of the World, organized by a Swiss corporation called New Open World Corporation (NOWC). The final list was announced on July 7, 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal, in the Estádio da Luz, SL Benfica’s stadium at 9:30pm (local time). Voting closed on July 6, 2007. The selection was made by free and paid votes, through telephone or online. 6 more Wonders of The World after the jump.

Tyler… the Pyramids is the only remainder of the original (or old) 7 Wonders; so it is listed as a special honor wonder instead of among the 7 new wonders. There is actually a long political story behind the decision… I don’t want to bore you with that here.
