Miss Arab World 2007 - Bikiniless Beauty Pageant

Women from across the Arab world came together to compete in the Miss Arab World 2007 contest in Cairo and this is the second time it is being staged, the previous one being in 2006. This beauty pageant is one of the most conservative, without a bikini in sight. Miss Bahrain, Wafa Yaqoop (left) is crowned the winner. For some reason I feel they’re more beautiful than the plastic expected artificially enhanced pageants I see in USA.
I think what I like about them is their naturalness. And the fact that they’re comfortable not stripping down to their last bits of clothes.
I know it’s strange coming from me! But hey I’ve been awake for the last 23 hours so my mind is going wild

What a wonderful change, a beauty pageant with women who don’t have to strip down to a bikini to think they are beautiful. A womans real beauty is her face and her conversation, the rest of her body is a bonus.

I realy admire the arabs for their beauty. Is there any ugly arab? No there arn’t. And all those people with a negative response. ‘BEWARE THE WRATH OF MIRAJ’. The arabs are a nation better than any they are Gods chosen people. And God choses not exept the BEAUTYFULL and PURE.
FROM THE EAST AND WEST ARABS ARE THE BEST.

all in all………..they do not reflect the majority of Arab girls…
layers of make up…bad photography…. u people need alot of work…. u did NOT get this right at all..
embarrassing to say the least…the girls loook naive.. wish them the best of luck…
they need oil freee make up for starters….. they look cute… but the make up makes them look like zombies…
Wake up ARAB gurls… make up should be seamless not OBVIOUS with tons of colors..

i think its great that arab women can participate in a beauty pageant ! everoyne who is aganist this might be against any beauty pageant… If you think this is shallow then you have your own self esteem issues to deal with!
ARAB WOMEN ARE GORGEOUS! Im from the U.S and I think you ladies are just beautiful… You do not need a bikini for someone to say “Wow! your beautiful!”. We really have to teach our kids over here that, but it is what they see on T.V… Well keep up the good work ladies and stay Beautiful and true!

In every piece of land there have some culture which is the simbol of there civilization. So I think we have provide comments with respect there feelings. Its a good presentation in Miss Arab World2007. I am agree with the comments of Mr. CognitoKid,October 23rd, 2007.
That was “A womans real beauty is her face and her conversation” inteligence also. I belive it farly that without body showing a women can participate in a real compitition.

Seriously people, what the hell is this??? I am arabi, and i know we have gorgeous women but these girls are no where close to cute..this is really embaressing, who picks these girls anyway? obvioulsy they dont know what beauty is…. And lets start with the arabi makeup, they think the more makeup the better, NO the more makeup the uglier the girl is, its a fact…Its sad but it looks sluty and cheap…When are we gonna learn damn it???? Sad!!

I think the reason why they’re all ugly is that most Arab women have a bit more self respect. So basically this is the bottom trash that have nothing better to do than to slut around with a community of white-washed Bedu Arab rubbish that can’t help but imitate a foreign culture in the hope that they will evolve from being Bedu to human beings. Well my pathetic Arab trash, the only way to evolve is to hold on to your own sense of culture, logic and sensibilities, not to run around imitating a people from across the sea in every pile of shite they excrete. Modernise through education not Westernisation you pathetic mindless zombies. Of every penny you spent on this muppet show you strive to define as “culture” you could have feed several families. But no, I wish you could get your own mother on this show so that a crowd of men could come along, judge her by her looks and then throw a £5 crown in her face and send her back home as an “ambassador of good will” while a her photo circulates around the net to men saying “why isn’t she in a bikini?” Well Dick, wait a couple of years, if these Bedu don’t change then believe me it’ll get sluttier and sluttier. The only reason they’re not in a bikini today is not because the organisers didn’t want them to, it’s because if they did the Muslim community that still has some self respect and a sense of identity will rip them apart like toilet paper.

I came from Asia personally I do believe that the beauty within the Arab community is more gorgeous and modest than the western and european beauties. Somehow I used to think of marrying an Arab woman but due to religious constraint I find it impossible though. Well anyway nice pageant. BTW I like Miss Palestine and Miss Morocco…

Ok, I see some pretty faces, but they all look horrofied. The makeup is gross, dresses are scary, and it lookes like the pictures were taken by a .99 c camera. There are a ton of pretty girls in the Middle East, but I guess they don’t know how to show it.

Honestly Isn’t a woman’s beauty related to rounder breasts, symmetrical face, rounder hips, bigger lips, long hair, large pupil. I mean poets, historians in every aspect of life has related these physical traits to beauty. In terms of evolution, birds, bugs, animals such as humans or elephants, every creatures selects partner from such beauty traits. So when you are judging women in terms of beauty, and you get to see a mere fraction of those attributes, how can u judge who is beautiful. I have nothing against Arab women, in real i actually think they are the most modest and prettiest, but when one is actually judging them, its unfair for the judges and the spectators.
