We (Americans) sure know how to complain but not how to work. I agree… get off the couch, stop collecting un-employment, gain some humility and get a job that you probably don’t want to do. In doing so you might just find that thing called self-respect… I promise it actually exists.

Cool pictures, I don’t know if any one of you has worked in a factory but it’s everywhere the same, the job needs to be done and concentration is required. There are a lot of people who really like this sort of job, it’s predictable skillful work, and if you have fun co-workers the day passes quickly.

I am with Helen – I am an American and live in China and have had a coffee shop in Beijing…these people are happy – and if they are not they can go down the street to another factory – or another…that recall was a joke – when I last manufactured it was up to the American inspector to make sure all Intertech and Inchscape testing was done on the China side of the water before anything was even placed on a boat – truly the American’s screwed up…and if u all would pay more money for stuff maybe America could manufacture something besides sitting around whining all the time and running to Target for the cheapest price….and hey – look at the pictures….why work in America when we pay u to make babies and even more if u have more and u can sit on the couch and collect un-employment…these people are willing to do the jobs you all think you are to good for….just like the Mexican labor that would devastate your country if they should all walk home…..last I read….China is the Super Power…we have a joke here…..what do u call a person who speaks 2 languages (bi-lingual) a person who speaks 3 languages (tri-lingual) and a person who speaks 1 – American. Wake Up

If anything these photos show how excessive North America is, but child sweat shops still exists and I don’t think that these photos are actual depiction’s of really bad sweatshops.

I totally agree with Helen. My parents are actually from China, and so I have been there quite a few times, and met many people who work in places like this. They are all happy people and have healthy lives, theres nothing wrong with them. It’s not like they all live in little wooden huts with flaking paint, China is improving, and peoples’ lives are too, not that they were bad before.

Actually, i’ve been to many of these factories…. the pictures don’t really say much. I’ve lived with many of them and most of these employees are very happy people. There’s actually more cutlure than we know of. It’s not fair to take these pictures and say how harsh their living conditions or unhappy their lives are…. really not fair. They probably don’t make as much as you do in America or Europe but they lead very stable and content lives.
