Toothpick City

Toothpick Art 01

Toothpick City is one of the world’s largest toothpick sculpture and was purchase by an attraction in Mallorca, Spain. Stan Munro is the creator behind this Toothpick City which boasts more than two million toothpicks worth of scale replica structures such as Eiffel Tower, Petronas Towers in Malaysia, Taipei 101, Washington Monument. I wonder how much Munro was paid for this and whether it would have been a better idea to auction it on Ebay instead.

Anyway, check out 12 more pics of Toothpick City after the jump.

Construction Of Airbus A380 In 7 mins

Airbus Construction 01 Airbus Construction 02

The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger airliner in the world which made its first commercial flight on 25 October from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines. Singapore Airlines has also unveiled the luxurious cabin interior of the Superjumbo.

The A380 employs an Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) architecture, first used in advanced military aircraft such as the F-22 Raptor and the Eurofighter Typhoon. It is based on a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) design. Several concerns about the A380 arose during its development as early critics said that it would damage taxiways and other airport surfaces. Tests later shown that the pressure exerted is lower than that of a Boeing 747or 777 because the A380 has 22 wheels, four more than the 747 and eight more than the 777.

If the largest passenger plane in the world entices you, check out the interesting construction of an Airbus A380 in 7 mins videoclip after the jump.
