With a word processor and laser printer, I can print out copies of Hamlet that look even better than the original manuscript — but I don’t go around telling people I’m better than Shakespeare, because the quality of the handwriting is kind of beside the point. Buzzkill missing the point doesn’t bother me as much as Bwar claiming to be “an artist” and then making the same mistake.

I agree with buzzkill and think his idea applies to all art really. I have software on my computer that allows me to draw and manipulate images then then just print it out. If someone wants to draw something by hand thats fine, but its just slow tedious work not talent.

I mean we all agree that art is no longer necessary or impressive, since computers can do everything now. Art is just a waste of people’s time. Thank god for MS Paint.

As an artist myself I agree with Buzzkill… Then again I also think 99% of Polloc-like Abstraction is nothing but craping on a canvas and going “Ta-Da”

I actually second buzzkill comment. Its actually really easy, just take times. I don’t have any pic, but I did a few using Lego design software. http://www.lego.com/eng/factory/design/. They even tell you what brick to order…

Buzzkill, that’s exactly what you are. 3d models and computer programs aside, this takes talent. Not to mention the incredible amount of time and effort it takes, AND the creativity to decide what would look good in Legos. Kudos from me, Nathan!

And, Buzzkill, if you’re not impressed, maybe you should post your own Lego Art portfolio online. Then we’ll critique you.

i’ve written software to generate diagrams based on any 3d models, which can even more easily be developed for 2d images.

the only thing he REALLY needs, is time, not talent.

and anyone can make that choice… there’s nothing fundamentally impressive here, sorry.
