Street Fighter Japan Vs USA
|
A comparison between Street Fighter the Animated Movie (Japan) and Street Fighter Cartoon (USA). The reviewer calls it unbiased but comparing a movie and a tv show is pretty biased to me. However that doesn’t stop the amusing comparison that shows how bad the USA version is when shown scene by scene with the Japanese version. |

So…the point is that American cartoons are generally badly animated?
Yup, pretty sure we knew that already. Even underfunded anime series which run into the triple digits tend to be better animated than most American shows.

@ Josh - I think it goes beyond that. Look at the lack of art direction in the US one, no dramatic lighting (no lighting at all!). Plus you can really see how each country sees it’s viewers. The US one has no end to incredibly mundane and unnecessary dialogue. The plots/scenarios that the characters find themselves in are also lacking in imagination (Vega/Chun-Li encounter comes to mind). Very poor quality, I am amazed at this. Thanks for posting it!

Dude, the japanese one is not a movie, it’s also cartoon series. But they treat the game as legend instead of crab..

Pretty sure it was made by DIC what can you expect? They also made the unbelievably terrible Super Mario Brothers Super Show among other really low quality cartoons.
I mean, just add a K to the end of the company and you get what all their productions are.

Looks like the japanese peopole won again… Why can´t we make good things like them?… Hahaha. I really DON´T undertand why the @$%€ there is allways a Hollywood guy that wants to trash out everything with his stupid “comic version” of cool mangas. And i this series wasn´t made by DIC… it is… MARVEL´S?! WTF?!
