Oscar the cockatoo has a disease called beacon feather which affects the immune system. This virus causes her to pull out her own feathers because of irritation but she still has feathers on her head because she can’t reach those. She may look like the ugliest bird but Oscar is well loved by the workers at Humane Society of Broward County because she is special.

Lesser known Johan Lorbeer is a German performance artist who became famous of his ‘Still-Life’ performances which took place in public areas. For hours he would remain as a living work of art where he elevates to the state of a sculpture. These performances seemed really impossible as they involve illusions to the audience that makes him look like he is defying the laws of gravity.

The Tiger Temple or Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua is a Theravada Buddhist temple in Thailand and has been a sanctuary for many endangered animals including several tigers that walk around freely once a day and can be petted by tourists. The temple received several tiger cubs where the mothers had been killed by poachers. As of 2007, over 21 cubs have been born at the temple and the total number of tigers is about 12 adult tigers and 4 cubs.
The tigers are tamed by being fed with cooked meat to avoid giving them a taste for blood. The staff keep the tigers under control and the abbot will intervene if the tiger gets agitated. They are treated as family members in the temple and visitors are asked to give a donation if they want to take photos with the tigers.

What separates the people from the beast are bulletproof and shatterproof glass that’s almost 9 centimetres wide, enough for protection against hostile actions from the polar bear.
