[...] Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe: both systems Commentary on this game has been mixed. Apparently it uses a fighting engine where you can fight in mid-air as well as several different modes. Most of the criticism comes from a story line that mixes, well, two completely different things. Here are some screens. This game looks great graphically and it seems the fighting will be good. I’ve never been a big fan of mortal kombat, but having the DC superheroes may actually make me give this one a try. It also will have online capabilities for an added bonus. So, y’know how Marvel seems to be being pretty smart with their marketing? Like how their linking the movies together into a coherent universe? Looks like DC is doing quite the opposite. It’s so disappointing to see the DC characters rendered in the MK style. Stiff animation, cheezy environments, impossible lighting and reflections… Why couldn’t they have done MK vs KI?
