Prehistoric Goblin Shark In Japan

The extremely rare goblin sharks are called ‘tenguzame’ by the Japanese fishermen and are best known to be found from the deep waters around Japan. It has protrusible jaws which probably makes it the strangest of all the sharks.

The goblin shark looks like some kind of prehistoric survivor and preys on deep sea small fish, octopus and crabs.
