Tree Man Dede Koswara Getting Better

Dede Koswara dubbed the Tree Man is back after nine months of operations to remove the woody growth from his body. He was once sacked from his job, deserted by his wife and shunned by his neighbors - treated like a freak becaused of his gnarled growths sprouting from his hands and feet. The warts on Dede’s body was the cause of a severe Human Papilloma Virus infection.
The 37 year old man’s life quality has improved where he now can use his hand write and use the cell phone. Dede still has to go through more surgery in October after the fasting month to trim more warts and was given strong course of medicine including vitamin A in an attempt to prevent the return of the growth.
Check out 2 more pics of Dede Koswara the tree man getting better after the jump.

I hope so, too! All the best to him in the future!

Hope he will get better soon. I can not wait to see the new picture of him in October. God Bless Dede!

Life truly HARDCORE…
It’s amazing how some human beings are made to suffer in this world as a result of accident, bad luck, disease, genetics, deformities–congenital and non-congenital defects, DNA mishaps, and so forth.
This is a strong man..others would surely committ suicide if they had to trade places with him. I pray to God a cure for this sort of thing is found for Dede and for others like him who are suffering without reprieve or hope.
Bless you Dede and I hope you get to reclaim your body and your life soon!

shunned by his own MUSLIM country, and made a spectacle of, and explioted by his fellow MUSLIM country men for profit. Its encouraging to see that a predominately christian country (USA) has offered to help cure his affliction for no more then the fact that they actually care for this Human Being. Thank god for this situation, and i hope you get better Dede, then you will know the power of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

CastroBC, it’s alright, we get it, muslims are evil terrorists and the scum of the earth, inhuman and without morals. Pure, subjective and totally disrespectful generalization (I also like to call that predjudice). That, my friend, is self-importance at it’s worst. If that’s what christianity taught you, I feel really sorry for you and I’m glad I didn’t listen to it to become such a pathetic, predjudiced knobhead. Because we all know that christians, on the other hand, are caring people who never shun or exclude people (ahem) and who have the answer to everything in the world thanks to the unlimited power of a bearded man up in the sky who, surprise, doesn’t even exist. Have you ever tried to pray God for a cure for cancer ? What happenned ?

When I saw the first documentary on Dede Koswara, I couldn’t believe the misfortune of this man. I couldn’t help but be completely in tears by the end of the program. Watching the newer program made my heartbreak even more, since the suspense of his condition was terrible! I’m so glad he’s showing improvement, and I hope he continues to heal.

CastroBC, it is people like you that push others away from christianity. I do not believe in your god or theirs but I would still respect and treat you both as equals. Your comments are just as bad as the people who taught him for his condition. Sociologically speaking christians seem to be the most judgmental people I have ever come across. I hope you find a more peaceful way.

This story made me cry. I really hope he gets better aweee.

Dede’s story is certainly one that everyone can look upon and be inspired - he is strong, he is hopeful, he is faithful. I am glad and thankful that he hasn’t given up and it is people like him that allows for a better appreciation of life - no matter who or what we believe brought us here. I pray for you Dede and your family!!! Thank you for being such a strong and courageous man

I hope Dede fully recovers from this. He has been through a great. However, people should be educated about HPV, and that there are many other symptoms caused by such virus. Dede got one of the worst symptoms I think. Best of luck to Dede. I hope he will one day become self-sufficient, so that he can support his family.

This representation of Christ-based faith disturbs me. I would like to believe that the reason the American doctor wanted to help was because of his Christian convictions. Truth to be told, I have seen 2 documentaries on this story and I have yet to hear the doctor mention anything about any religion. I could have missed it, but I am just saying that I haven’t heard it. And Marc, answering the question that you asked CastroBC, I have prayed for a lot of people with cancer and other issues that I cannot understand. I have seen cases where the cancer mysteriously disappears, and I have seen cases where the person dies. Personally, I try to get my hands around this, and I just cannot. Why would some people, good or bad, live long healthy lives while others struggle with so many things? The only way that I can explain it is that maybe this thing called life is bigger than me, you, or anybody else. Maybe it is for His glory, not our comfort, and we are the supporting cast, not the main characters. I don’t mean to preach a sermon, but I can’t help but respond when I see somebody who misrepresents not only what I stand for, but what I live for.

I would be willing to send Dede some supply of the best herbal immune support supplement available if I had the address of where to send it. At my own cost, I would be glad to send him the most powerful, natural herbal supplement that is made in USA by the best herbal extract manufacturer in the world. This will help boost his immune defenses greatly and help his own immune system to get strong and fight the virus. These natural extracts are very helpful. I can be reached at the e-mail address attached to this message - wavejumper@alltel.net.

Thanks Disturbed and I agree.
My oldest son has an inoperable lesion in the center of his brain. Sometimes I am angry with God…But I also know that he’s always there. Mostly. though, we just have a great life. That’s saying more than a lot of people. I pray every day, for him and for others. I don’t have to understand why this stuff happens…I just have to know who does. I also know that we are a better family, I am a better mother, my husband is a better father, and my son says he’s a better person now than before his illness. I don’t believe that his illness came from God, but I do know that our response to it did ,and does. Some of the previously listed problems with Christianity, it seems, comes from confusing God with people. We are sometimes insensitive, selfish, and judgemental. God isn’t and he loves us any way. I’m sorry that some of you have been hurt or disappointed by Christians or non-christians. People sometimes do these things. God never does.

I’m so thankful he’s going to recover, I hope they can also help his friends that were in that “circus” show they used to perform him. All I can do is thank god that this hasn’t happened to me or anyone I know, and pray to god to spare others and cure this poor unfortunate man.

OK. firstly, i would like to apologize to any and all that i have offended. No, wait on second thought, scratch that idea. I will not make any compromise on what i fervently believe in. Marc, your a moron. Read my post more thouroughly and then reply!! It is absolutely true, that what i wrote about “his muslim people and country” shunning him, and making a spectacle of him due to his unfortunate condition, is abhorant, to say the least. From my vantage point, i haven’t seen anything to suggest otherwise!!! In places like Australia, America, etc (Christian based counrties, that actually pratice democracy!!!) the way this fiasco has been handled would most definately be frowned upon!!!! Did Dede’s MUSLIM government intervene, and say “hey this sort of exploitation of this poor human being will not be tolerated!”????NO!!! Instead, they would rather have nothing to do with it. So, yes, in my eyes he has become a PARIAH, to his own people due to his condition! That, MY FRIEND, is disgraceful!! Look at fact you knobhead! If this American doctor(which in that part of the world, indonesia, is an excellent candidate for kidnapping, due to various reasons, ie. these MUSLIMS would like to exterminate anyone that is not) had not wanted to treat Dede, where would Dede be now??? ever thought about that??? Or if the Western world didn’t make and doco’s on Dede, or bring any attention to the general population about his condition, most definately, Dede would be either dead or in that moron’s circus act! I find it IRONIC, that this practicing muslim is being treated by his sworn enemy. And Marc, if you haven’t travelled to Indonesia, let me tell you now, IT IS LIKE THAT!!! Extremely closed minded, in an almost dictator stlye government that is ANTI everything not MUSLIM!!! So, get your head out of you know where, and take notice of the REAL world.
Jennie, “Sociologically speaking christians seem to be the most judgmental people I have ever come across. I hope you find a more peaceful way.” are you serious???? Have you ever travelled abroad??? Tell that line to these MUSLIMS who cut heads off of westerners, treat their women as second class citizens, and lets not forget, try to bring their way of “life” into our work places (we have to accomodate for their RAMADAN, but will they accomodate for anyone elses beliefs??? i think not!!)and oh yeah COUNTRIES!!(terrorist attacks!!!ring a bell??no? how bout THE BALI BOMBER??? OR THE TWIN TOWERS??? OR THE ATTACKS IN ENGLAND ETC ETC ETC) I dont see any budhists, christian, jews etc etc. attacking other countries in the name of ALLAH!!!! Forget all the P.C. rubbish! Im only stating the IRONIC TRUTH here!
Disturbed, get off the fence! You know what happens if your lukewarm right?? My representation of the CHRISTIAN faith, is MINE!! Which happens to be passionate in what i believe in, none compromising, and un-apologetic! I never wished harm to Dede! But i did reprimand the way his people have treated him, nothing more. This situation in my eyes is something GOD has allowed,(everything happens under GOD’s watch)in order for Dede to know him better,(ever think about that GUYS??) more over open the eyes of MUSLIMS to see the good in man, not just there own people!!!
IM NOT TRYING TO WIN FRIENDS BY BEING PC, IM STATING THE IRONIC TRUTH!!!!!!!!
IT MOST DEFINATELY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH RELIGION! YOU DONT HAVE TO LOOK HARD TO FIND CONTRAST IN DEDE”S TREAMENT!!!
that is all…………….

I wish there was some way that i could let him know that clorox kills warts. It has to be the clorox brand. They just fall off when saturated twice a day with clorox. It really works. I have used it to kill warts on me my horse and the kids.

You should try reading the Qur’an before you condemn the BILLION+ people who follow the peaceful text.
November 17th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
I wish Dede the best but i hope he never encounters people like CastroBC who are complete dolts that know nothing about anything.
Praying and having faith in anything is utterly useless and won’t save or help anyone with a disease like this. If it was up to religion we wouldn’t be exploring cures for diseases like this, instead everyone would rely on their power of pray to cure everyone and dede would be worse off than he is.
How can someone (CastroBC) have the audacity to criticize the open-mindedness of anyone when he himself is closed-minded? I am baffled. He talks of the Muslim people hating non-muslims, yet he’s christian and hates non-christians… how can you contradict yourself like that and not see it?
Also, I’m willing to bet the American Doctor was athiest. Usually when people get a bit more of an education (or are smarter to begin with) they rule out god as a possibility completely.
Yeah, God wants Dede to be closer to him by giving him a shit-ton of diseases. That’s an idiotic way of viewing it and one that doesn’t help. God doesn’t exist, let’s all just realize it and move on.
November 23rd, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Absolute genius!!! “I WISH Dede the best but i HOPE he never encounters”……….
then u go on to say…..”Praying and having faith in anything is utterly useless and won’t save or help anyone with a disease like this”!!
Wishing and hoping differ from praying and having faith????
You my friend are a moron!

Oh yeah Mr Religion Sucks,
If god does not exist, please enlighten me as to how we became. Oh, and i dont want to hear anything about “EVOLUTION” because i refuse to accept that i am related to a friggin primate, if you want to adopt that belief, maybe you really are a relative of a primate! If we “evoled” from chimps or whatever you “intelligent” people like to think, how is it so the chimps, monkeys, apes etc….still EXIST!!!! I thought evolution was the elimination of weaker species…….only the storng, no co existing here my friend. So Mr scholar, explain that to me. Or how bout explain to me why we use A.D. and B.C. in our timeline????? If your too intelligent to know or recognise these abbreviations, it means AFTER DEATH!!! AND BEFORE CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please, i HOPE and WISH you come back to this post and read this!!!!

XD Wow CastroBC, I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard. From your complete lack of grammar, to your immense hypocrisy, to your rejection of science, which translates to rejecting all logic and reason and thus makes it impossible to argue with you. First and foremost, I have to point out your glaring mistake that you claim is proof of your religion being superior. I’m not Christian, and even I know that AD does not mean after death, it stands for Anno Domini, Latin for the year of our lord. And aside from the fact that these terms only apply to the Gregorian calendar, a lot of people don’t use B.C. and A.D., they use B.C.E.(before common era) and C.E.(common era). I would spend more time pointing out and laughing at your numerous flaws and outright religious discrimination, not to mention your science and logic rejecting idiocy, but I have better ways to waste my time. ^_~ Good luck with your racism and quest to convert the entire world with ignorance!
