New Screenshots Of Dragonball Movie

The Dragonball Movie slated for a release date of April 3, 2009 is an American live action film adaptation of the Dragon Ball media franchise. These new screenshots shows the various characters such as Justin Chatwin as Goku, Jamie Chung as Chi Chi, Emmy Rossum as Bulma, Chow Yun Fat as Master Roshi and Eriko Tamura as Mai.
I’m a bit skeptical how this movie would turn out since Dragonball is an over-the-top stylized animated series but with Stephen Chow as a producer, it does seems that the movie could turn out good.
8 more pics of the Dragonball Movie after the jump.

Really?
You’re not even going to attempt to make the characters look like they should?
Like this modern gear stuff…gotta go…
Seriously
Dragonball is wayy too good of a concept to be destroyed by America…
Please…reconsider how you’re going to create this film…

I hate it how the main charater is a pansy looking white guy who is skinnier than 90% of the white population haha. The only thing that could save this movie is good graphics. Goku is supposed to look like 10x stronger than an average person just in his regular form. hopefully the director pulls it off though! it would be stupid to criticize a movie just based on pictures and expect the worst, so i’m hoping it will be good!

For christs sake people stopp bagging it immediately based on a few screens. I have to say I expected different as well but first off, Goku at this point of the timeline was actually fairly scrawny looking himself. Second the actor is darker than Goku is on the show albeit the hair and if they’d just copied and pasted the clothes and characters it would just looks ridiculous. Give it a chance

Seems like I agree with the masses. This movie looks like its going to disgrace the dragonball legacy, before it gets started. This couldv’e been a good look for dragonball if done right, but…Its looking bad! Like their going to do what they did to Mortal Kombat. I was giving it a chance, didn’t see to many screenshots til’ now…and then I see Bulma with GUNS!!! Shouldn’t see anyone with guns but average human Earthlings. Its just not the Dragonball World and thats what the audience whats to be emersed it. Shame, I was hoping it did alright. I’m a unknown screenwriter, just starting to try and get my work noticed. I’m a fan myself. I recently started developing a screenplay for a Dragonball Z movie, and it feels so right! I’m unkown extremely confident in my talent and I don’t criticize myself lightly. I wish I had the chance to contribute. It would be the epic movie that was expected of this one, but…? I don’t know, Akira. Doesn’t seem like it does your work justice, but I wish it well.
