Hormer Supplier Shocking Farm Cruelty To Pigs

Pig Cruelty 01

Undercover investigation by PETA at an Iowa pig factory farm reveals shocking rampant animal cruelty committed by the workers and supervisors. The video and images are horrific to the extent that some of the images shown here have been left out.

Some of the atrocities of cruelty shown were

- Piglets slammed to the floor and leaving them still wriggling to die in a bloodied pile
- beating up of the pigs to death with metal rods
- inserting rods into the sow’s vagina
- Spraying paint into the pig’s eyes and nostrils

These condemed acts and unacceptable practice shows how ugly human actions can be and the atrocities that are not known to us when we eat products such as bacon, ham or sausage.

Watch the video and gallery at your discretion and definitely not for the squeamish hearted. The images shown here are less disturbing and to see the full story and media, check out PETA’s website. If you care about animal cruelty, do check out Kentucky Fried Cruelty as well.

Pig Cruelty 04

Sow #13319 sustained multiple cuts to her back, likely the result of being beaten and scraped with a gate rod while being moved from the gestation building to the farrowing building.

This is sad and disgusting. I have been vegan for over five years, but I always try to stay away from reading about animal cruelty because it upsets and depresses me, but I am glad I read about this one. Although I don’t agree with some of PETA’s methods, I do appreciate that they reveal some of the most horrendous acts performed behind close doors so that they can attempt to open some eyes. Thank you for posting this!

      This is wrong.
      Too wrong.

“Animals should no longer be regarded as property, or used as food, clothing, research subjects, or entertainment, but should instead be viewed as legal persons and members of the moral community.”

When a human gets punched they let out a scream or a grunt, when human does that to an animal they also let out a cry of pain because they feel too just like you.

I worked as a meter reader and had to visit the pig farms in the area; I would see dead pigs & piglets with shotgun wounds laying behind buildings, in weeds and stinking of rot. The pig farmers would laugh and offer me ham sandwiches. My God those were good sandwiches. All that gooey melted cheese, mmm. I’ve never really liked ham (not even spiral), I prefer turkey meat or fish because it’s so good for you, but these images gave me the cravings. Thanks for posting this.

I wouldn’t be surprised if PETA broke in the night before their “investigation” to injure the animals themselves. They’ve done far worse things, firebombing barns, destroying animal testing labs and injuring the workers and scientists, creating disgusting smear campaigns to try and scare people onto their side… This is JUST like them. Our own home-grown terrorist organization at work, people.

I WISH THAT ALL THESE MENTALLY SICK PEOPLE WHO USE AND TREAT ALL THESE SENTIENT BEINGS GET CANCER, DIABETES, HEART AILMENTS (AILMENTS THAT THEY SHOULD GET FROM EATING ANIMALS) AND THEN GET TO SUFFER SUFFER THE SAME OR MORE INTENSE PAIN THEY HAVE INFLICTED TO ALL THE ANIMALS IN THEIR LIFETIME BEFORE THEY DIE AND ROT IN HELL!!!

I’m really2 sad to see this story, but if only everyone knows about the truth:

“I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.”
British politician and Nobel Prize Laureate Winston Churchill

Most people don’t have the privilege of getting to know a pig. For most of us, the thought of pigs conjure images of dirty, greedy animals living in their own waste. We couldn’t be more wrong! Pigs don’t perspire, and so wallow in mud to keep themselves cool. They are naturally very clean animals and, if given the choice, they prefer to cool themselves down in fresh water. When in a natural environment, pigs build communal nests and toilet areas away from their sleeping area.

Pigs are remarkably intelligent creatures thought by many to be smarter than dogs. They can be trained to respond to simple voice commands, and are easily toilet trained. Studies have revealed that pigs have a long memory and are able to focus on specific tasks even better than some primates. Research conducted at Bristol University found that pigs are cleverly competitive with other members of their herd, and to avoid confrontation will wait until nobody is looking to sneak away hidden food. “This sort of behaviour suggests that pigs can compete with each other in quite complex and ‘cerebral’ ways,” says Dr Mendl of Bristol University

I do not belong to the same spieces as the perpertraitors of this. It scares me that there is more than one person doing this. If it was one I could pass it off as a sick upbringing but when it is obvious that this is an open pass time for a group of people Ive gotta ask myself how does this occur?

      Kai Says:

I just want to start off by saying that I am a vegetarian (not a vegan.) I know it is utterly useless to persuade everyone to go vegetarian so I will not waste my breath. However, I would like to say that even if the animal is going to die to feed the masses, at least let the animal have a quick and painless death. Is it really THAT fun to beat a defenseless animal with metal rods, spray-painting them (for what reason, I don’t know), or even watch them suffer to death in a pool of their own blood? I do not want to sound judgmental but these are the type of people that I want to stay away from. If they have no problem doing that to animals, what could they possibly do to humans when given the alternative?

I m trying to be a vegetarian too. i have experience to cut the fish while the fish still alive. i feel cruel.
thats what I m thinking to be vegetarian.
But nowadays most of the younger are try to abuse dog or cat and post at FB to show how ‘brave’ they are!
this is the issues need to bring up to stop this stupid attitude!

PETA is disgusting, I could go on for hours about their bending the facts for donations. Research the history of the founders and you would not post any of their propaganda. The pics and captions are almost funny if not so misrepresented.
The sow in the farrowing crate is an example. The sow is several hundred pounds and the babies are three or four pounds, the crates are designed to keep the sow from laying on the babies. The babies need and like extra heat and are given a heat source away from the mother and only go to the mother in time to eat. With out the crate many, if not all, of the babies would be crushed under the mother. If you ever have seen this site you would appreciate the crates. Rather than looking for the bad in a picture look at the good, for example how healthy and clean the pigs and the sow appear. The sow has not a sore or a hair out of place directly delivery and the pigs are extremely healthy also.
With out getting into a long post the other pics and captions are also misrepresented. No one in the animal industry does the things described. Animals are raised for a profit, no one profits from injured or abused animals.

Try ‘Soldier’ (1998) directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. There was a scene where the kids had to ‘toughen up’ by watching starving dogs tear apart a boar or something.

Last pic = waterboarding, and take note of what @snow says on the chinasmack site. The medical or related degree people are one foot into the best (worst) of it, sleeping with corpses ‘to strengthen the chakras’, consume the spirit etc..

Note the camouflage fatigues. This looks like an early advanced training method to desensitise the future military cadres of the Fatherland, ‘just in case’. Probably a warning to potential foreign troublemakers as well.

At advanced levels they should also use sufficiently healthy death row inmates who consent to ‘to the death’ gladiator style combats out of public view for the military. The civvies are now being upgraded with articles like these. Subtle escalation, subtle warning.
