Kangaroo Runs Loose On Race Track

Kangaroo Race Track

During the Bathurst Aust V8 Supercar Race in Australia, a kangaroo appears onto the track from nowhere and drivers struggle to avoid a collision with the marsupial. It was very lucky that the race cars didn’t crash into it as they stream past with several near misses.

Lost Deer Caught At Sea

Deer Sea 01

A deer was caught swimming 1.5 miles offshore desperately trying to keep afloat and these guys, Chad Campbell and Bo Warren brought it into their boat. Clearly it was too exhausted and tied by the legs in fear of of the deer kicking and escaping. They got back to the shore and released it but it was quivering and not able to walk or stand. The deer was left sitting but its chances of survival was definitely greater than when it was found at sea.

Extreme Pets - Fishing Cat

This Russian family does know how to keep their pet cat happy - by bathing with it and feeding it live catfish and chicken. This is not the ordinary house cat though as it is a medium sized cat called the Fishing Cat. It’s habitat ranged from Sumatra, Java, India, Pakistan to Sri Lanka.

Heavily and powerfully built, the fishing cat is ferocious and dangerous that are known to be able to drive off a pack of dogs and one in captivity has been known to break off its enclosure into another one and kill a leopard twice it size. They are friendly to humans if they have been acquainted since young.

In the preservation of animal specimens for study, animals are usually preserved using formalin where the whole body would be immersed in the posture in which it is supposed to stay permanently because it will be hardened. The ratio of formalin to carcass must at least be 12 to 1 to ensure a good fixation.

Giant Coconut And Alaskan King Crabs

The coconut crab and Alaskan king crab are some of the largest crabs in the world.

The coconut crab is the world’s largest terrestial arthropod in the world and is known for its ability to crack coconuts with its pincers. They can weigh up to 4kg (Some reports claim up to 17kg) and leg span of 1m. It is eaten by the Pacific islanders and is considered a delicacy with a taste similar to lobster and crabmeat. A coconut crab will attack if it is threatened.

The Alaskan king crab are crustaceans chiefly found in cold seas. Their weight varies from 2 to 4kg (some species such as the blue king crab sometimes exceeds 8kg). Alaskan crab fishing is one of the United States’ most dangerous jobs albeit the good payout on a successful catch. Over 80% of these deaths are caused by drowning or hypothermia.

1.5 Million Pink Flamingos On Lake

What could be more astonishing than 1.5 million flamingos that literally turns the lake they are on into pink. The vast algae source in Lake Nakaru part of the Kenya Rift Valley attracts these animals in the thousands and it is widely regarded as the greatest bird spectacle on earth. Bees Makes Hive In A Jar
