Ron Mueck(1958- ), is an Australian photo realistic artist whose company is based in London. Born to parents who were toy makers, his early career was a model maker and puppteer for children’s television and films.
After establishing his company in London, he made models to be photographed for advertisements. In the early 90s, Mueck commissioned to make something highly realistic. His new models were made from Fiberglass resin, after he found out that this was the ideal material to be used for his realistic models.
