Full Scale Matchstick F1 Car

F1 Matchstick 01

This cool F1 Mercedes McLaren F1 was created by Michael Arndt using 956,000 matchsticks over a span of 6 years. It also took 1686 tubes of glue and the whole thing costed around 6000 Euros. Patience is definitely a key factor and its amazing how intricate the details are to mimic that of the real F1 car.

Steven’s passion for toothpicks has led him to create other amazing sculptures including an electric powered radio-controlled yacht designed from 10,000 toothpicks. Check out this toothpick city by Stan Munro and toothpick art by Saimir Strati as well.

Chewing Gum Sculptures

Chewing Gum Sculpture 01

Italian artist Maurizio Savini uses chewing gum as the material for his art and these sculptures are creatively well done. That’s a lot of chewing gums for the size of his sculptures and I wonder if he actually bought those from the supermarkets.

Weapon Sculptures And Furniture

Weapons Furniture 01

Creative sculptures and furnitures made from military weapons which was initially a project started after more than 30 years of civil war. In 1998, the Cambodian government destroyed 125,000 weapons across the country but ‘The Peace Art Project Cambodia’ (PAPC) was created in November 2003 to get rid of the weapons in an artistic way. Its a great expression where weapons of war becomes iconic arts of peace.

Breaking Clay Art

Clay Break 01

Martin Klimas makes his one of a kind art - by breaking clay into pieces and taking photographs of the falling figurines when they hit the floor. I wonder how many clay figures he had destroyed to create his art.
