Italian artist Livio De Marchi loves wood so much that everything around him is made from wood. He even have a floating, powered, carved wood Ferrari F50 which he uses to navigate the canals of Venice. His works has been the subject of many television features in several foreign countries. Two headed conjoined twins Abigail Loraine Hensel and Britanny Lee Hensel had a short documentary about their lives on The Learning Channel. It is not easy to be born sharing a single body with your other twin and they are incredible that they had tried their best in leading a normal life. This poor one year old boy from Xiamen, China was born without eyes where its regions are replaced with small dimples. This illness is known as cryptophthalmia and is very rare, only hundred known cases have been discovered. Although the little guy has no eyes, he could still feel the brightness from light.

A nurse at the hospital that is helping look into his condition says that the little boy is very cute but worries that as he grows up, his smiles would slowly diminish. She once took him out to the yard and other children would exclaim ‘That kid has no eyes’ and he would just hide behind under his mom.

This extraordinary structure on Montrose Boulevard took motorists by surprise. A pair of artists, Dan Havel and Dean Ruck was responsible for this house installation. The two wooden buildings were to be replaced by a new built project so the few months before the demolition, they made this into an architectonic installation. What’s so interesting about a Hind flying in the sky? Well its because this one doesn’t have its rotors moving and still flies! This is called the Wagon-Wheel Effect where the eyes perceive a spoked wheel to rotate more slowly than the true rotation hence the optical illusion of the immobile rotors. Village girl Shen XiaoJing was born with unusual large feet.

Her right foot measures 32 centimetres long and 12 centimetres wide. while her left foot is 30 centimetres long and 11 centimetres wide. The big toe of her right foot is as large as a baby’s foot of a baby at 7.5 centimetres long and 4.5 centimetres; her second toe is 9 centimetres long and 3.5 centimetres wide. For 21 years, all her shoes were made by her mother. Shen Xiaojing is now 170 centimetres tall and has reached the age to marry. However, most young men have been frightened away by her giant feet.

The cuttlefish is one of the most intriguing creatures on our planet where in the blink of an eye it’s skin can change colour, pattern and even shape (thus called the Kings of Camouflage). It is probably the closest thing to an alien. The cuttlefish is a mollusk, soft bodied animals without a spine and its close cousins are the squids and octopuses.
