Portuguese group Studio Verissimo has designed and created this amazing chandelier out of hundreds of recycled coffee stirrers collected from various cafes. It created quite a stir at the recent Touch/New York exhibition during New York Design Week. The eye catching chandelier is called ‘Spoon’ apparently derived from the plastic stirrers.
This cool looking tea house is entirely made out of paper and cardboard. Created by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, it is part of a sale of Japanese art and design held by auctioneer Philips de Pury and Company. Constructed using square paper tubes, the tea house is designed for indoor use and houses a table and four stools. It also features a waiting area with a bench for tea ceremony practice.

The paper constructions aim to address the current trend of unattainable design of high-tech and instead uses low tech, adaptable and recyclable materials. It will be offered for sale at an estimate of £20,000-30,000.

It’s the end of November and everyone’s looking forward for the holidays. If you are into Christmas mood already, check out this hyper cool Mountain Dew Christmas tree which was constructed last year.

Materials used was approximately 400 Mountain Dew cans as well as PVC pip for the trunk, construction markers for the branches and a drill to get the constructions flags into the PVC pipe.

It took 3 months of soda drinking and 4 days of building to create this beautiful piece of artwork. The tree looks great especially when the lights are on so be sure to check the end result.

More of the Mountain Dew Christmas tree with 12 more pics after the jump.
