Childhood Fears by Joshua Hoffine shows grim images of children and their ultimate fears using impressive horror photographic art.

From the artist himself, ‘I believe that the horror story is ultimately concerned with the imminence and randomness of death, and the implication that there is no certainty to existence. The experience of horror resides in this confrontation with uncertainty. Horror tells us that our belief in security is delusional, and that monsters are all around us.’

Chinese artist Li Wei from Beijing started off his performance series ‘Mirroring’ and later on took off attention with his ‘Falls’ series which shows the artist with his head and chest embedded into the ground. His work is a mixture of performance art and photography that creates illusions of a sometimes dangerous reality. Li Wei states that these images are not computer montages and works with the help of props such as mirror, metal wires, scaffolding and acrobatics.

Beautiful photography by French photographer Cedric Delsaux where he recreates the scenes of Star Wars characters and vehicles with urban wasteland background. The characters are actually model toys superimposed on to shots of Parisian architecture to create the illusion. Cedric Delsaux is an award winner in the newcomer’s France Bourse du Talent competition which stands for Young Talent Award for Photography.

A collection of beautiful light trail photographs which is a popular subject matter for many photographers. To capture light trails, long shutter speeds would be needed and a tripod since long shutter speed would blur out at the slightest shake. After all the settings are done, it is all about choosing the location, thinking about timing and framing the image.
