The Human Bone Chapel

Bone Chapel 01

This chapel located in Sedlec, Czech Republic is decorated with human bones of over 40,000 people. They are decorated in arrangements like bells, furnitures as well as a chandelier. The history behind this chapel was that a plague struck the town of Kutna Hora during the Black Death (one of the deadliest pandemics in human history) in the mid 14th century and killed many people and the local cemetery had no more space for bodies to be buried. The Sedlec Chapel was then built as an ossuary to deposit the bones.

New PS3 Ads Are Grim Yet Stunning

New PS3 advertisement 01

Dark and grim theme advertisements for the Playstation 3 by advertising agency BBDO Chile. The statues are slowly being put together depicting a guy and a girl holding a PS3 controller. The first seems to have a World War II setting while the second has a Greek war setting. Look carefully enough and you can find the ‘X’, ‘O’ and ‘Square’ buttons at the base and surroundings of both statues. From an artistic point of view these are absolutely stunning and certainly portrays the immersive gameplay of the Playstation 3.
