Interesting animation using some of the more famous characters in Nintendo all jumbled up. Games include Kung Fu, Super Mario, Street Fighter, Megaman, Donkey Kong, Pacman, Space Invaders and others. It’s an 8 mins long clip and things starts to get really interesting when Megaman comes into the picture at the later half. 1 videoclip after the jump.

Mugshots of a young pretty girl Maria Ramos in New York City taken over a 15 year period which shows the harsh effects of drugs abuse. Hopefully life’s roughness as documented visually through these mugshots would deter more young people to say no to drugs.
Pretty controversial and amusing ad from Sisley about fashion addicted women which uses dresses to symbolise heroine and alcohol. This isn’t good for the fashion world and the young teen girls who looked at this. Meet Jessica the tame Hippo who made herself a member of a South African family. The hippo kills more humans in Africa than any other wild mammal and its great to see such a bond form between humans and Jessica. She was found washed up by flood water when she was just a day old and has been with the family ever since for 7 years. Check out 1 videoclip after the jump. |

Thrifter takes a look at some of the weird menu items of McDonald around the world. In india there are no big Macs because the Hindu people don’t eat beef. The Maharaja Mac (shown on the right) instead is made up of lamb or chicken meat. As China becomes more industrialized, it has a hard time coping with the intense pollution and low health standards. The above shows a man collecting dead fish at the Donghu lake of Wuhan, Hebei Province where officials estimate 30,000kg of fish have been killed by a combination of heatwave and pollution caused by untreated industrial waste. Avril Lavigne is being sued by 70s band The Rubinoos over allegations that her hit single ‘Girlfriend’ was too much of a resemblance to their 1979 track ‘I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend’. It goes on a different tune but the chorus sounds too coincidental similar. Avril denied that she had even heard of the song well since it was co-write with producer/remixer Dr. Luke. |
Avril’s Vancouver based manager, Terry McBride claims that ‘There’s nothing similar between the two songs’, ‘Our musicologist says there is no similarities of melody, choral progression or meter’. Plagiarize or not, check it out and judge for yourself. 1 videoclip after the jump.
